They probably told Laremy Tunsil that he wouldnt be traded as well.

If you are Howard and your agent came to you and said the Chiefs want to trade for you, I bet you say...Hell Yeah!

Or you can stay in Miami and lose your entire career.

I don't think the Dolphins will trade him. I have no doubt he would want out.

They have a shit ton of draft picks already and Howard is young...

But they have a patriot way cast off, who probably believes he could turn any picks and average players into something better like his father the hood has done for two decades now.

There is a giant difference between Tunsil and Howard.

Tunsil is on his rookie deal 5th year option, so whoever got him was facing a massive contract after this season.

Howard just signed his extension, so will be signed up for 5 more years after this one.

They aren't going to trade him. As badly as they want to tank, there is no reason to sign a guy to a big extension and trade him a few months later. They may be tanking now, but surely they plan on rebuilding and competing in the next 3-5 years.

So we have 2 media guys saying that the Chiefs moved the money around and are sniffing around CB's.

Is that enough for me to keep speculating...…..yes. Yes it is.

I can't imagine it would take a 1st for Peterson. Maybe a 2nd, or 3rd.

You're not getting an elite CB still in his prime on a somewhat friendly deal for a 2nd or a 3rd...come on.

He's 29 coming off a 6 game PED suspension and is probably going to want a new contract or an extension of his current one.

So yeah, he's not getting a first for that I doubt.

And THAT'S exactly the kind of things teams do that leads to big problems down the road. It's one thing to give up assets and extend young players entering their prime, it's an entirely different matter to do it for older one's.

Right, which is why lean towards Howard over PP.

If we wait until the deadline it's most likely going to take a 2nd to get it done for Peterson

I've gone back and forth. I'd probably rather have Peterson as he'd be cheaper, but if you could get Howard and have that deal locked in and him for that long, that might be more palatable.
