Up until today, I believed that even though we're doomed in the playoffs, we should continue to start Alice, in the hope that his play would secure us a decent draft pick in trade.
But he's getting worse every week. He's clearly a noodle-armed, no confidence headcase at this point, and apparently unless it's 70 and sunny with no breeze he can't throw the ****ing ball accurately more than five yards downfield. All his continued play will do is hurt his trade value. So bench his ass and get a jumpstart on the future. Hell, who knows what Mahomes could do? He just might make a difference. But Alice is done. And I'm done with him. |

Mahomes knows what it’s like to play without a defense.

Chiefs are still 2.5 games ahead of LA and 3.5 ahead of OAK and DEN.
I'm worried that Andy won't make the change bc of team morale the standings. He probably thinks starting Pat is a sign to the team that this year is in the tank, even though we see it differently. |

Even if the arguments for not risking injury to Mahomes or letting him learn until next year are disappearing in our minds as the team circles the drain, we all know good and well that no such change is happening in Reid's mind. Smith would probably have to completely crater for several more weeks before he would even consider making a switch, if he would at all.

As shitty as this may sound, I’d rather him get hurt in a game that he was suppose to start in, rather in a game where had no reason to be in. It’s not smart.

Why is Mahomes not ready when Dak was ready last year and Deshaun Watson was ready this year. What’s he lacking?
