*****2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD - NO SPOILERS*****

Version 2024 - PATRICK MAHOMES & THE HUNT FOR THE THREEPEAT

Let's ****ing do this.

Quote:
Rules for once the draft begins:
  1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's So and So to Green Bay) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!").
  2. Don't be a dick.
Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny. I'll also be starting player threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP. These separate threads will be made as soon as the news breaks, outside of this thread. I will link the threads below. Pure knee-jerk gold to reference in the future.

Here are our picks:

Round 1, #28: Xavier Worthy
Round 2, #63: Kingsley Suamataia
Round 4, #131: Jared Wiley
Round 4, #133: Jaden Hicks
Round 5, #159: Hunter Nourzad
Round 6, #211: Kamal Hadden
Round 7, #248: C.J. Hanson

Here is a list of the prospects the Chiefs have shown interest in this year.

See, this is something I can get behind. Let’s do it! My lineup:

QB: Tranquill (Really feel like he’s become the vocal leader on D)
RB: Cook (Great return on that pick 6 a while back)
TE: Bolton (The Kelce of the defense)
WR: McDuffie (No explanation needed)
WR: Jaylen Watson (That rookie year pick six week one a few years back… he holds a special spot in my heart)
TE: Nick Bolton (Easy one, the Kelce role)
LT: FAU (Pure athleticism)
LG: Nnadi (Consistency)
C: Jones (Anchor)
RG: Wharton (Dude just sticks around)
RT: Karlaftis (Mauler)

Love it!

I was thinking we probably needed an IOL late this year, but I don’t think it’s necessary.

Just kick Morris inside and have Kingsley take LT. Extend Creed most likely. Still have Taylor.

Then, we’re just replacing one guard next year if Smith/Thuney are gone. That’s very reason.

I like Javon Baker. Troy Franklin has me freaked out. There’s something there that is scaring teams off.

I like the backs you listed. I’d add Guerendo too.

As a KU guy, I should love Austin Booker. I’m not a fan for the Chiefs though. I don’t love a one year wonder who tested poorly.

I think they need to keep one of Thuney/Smith

“Need” is strong when you’re talking about guards.

The money they were getting in free agency would make me pretty nervous about what it would cost to keep one.

I'd love a CB if there is one they love, but man II think I'd continue to restock the offense. Would like a guard, but agree Morris could easily move there, give me another TE like Wiley, or another WR with the talent that's still on the board.

Another impact RB is important.

We need to take some carries off of Pacheco.

Tight end and running back with our two number four pics. Although last year several teams got pretty good running backs as usdrafted free agents. So we could probably pick somebody up in a later round.

So I guess if Franklin was still there. I would take him Instead of a RB since many, including me, thought we might end up meeting our WR needs taking him at one. Very weird how he is falling.
