Too early in the game to say anything with that level of confidence IMO. Right now things are looking dire, but we have no idea where this takes us. How bad will the carnage actually be? How contagious is it? How many of us already have had it and have immunity? Will therapies be available that can be taken early to greatly reduce the risk? We have general ideas on many of these questions, but no definitive answers. Once we do get answers to many of these questions over the next couple of months, only then will we have any sense of what we will be able or not be able to do in the fall.

At a 2% case mortality rate, that is 331,000,000 x 50% = 165,000,000. 165,500,000 x 2% = 3,310,000 deaths. That isn't even accounting for our hospitals getting over flowed and the lack of ventilators and medical supplies. |
