I think you could accuse Frazier of sour grapes, but I don't think what he says here is inaccurate:

Heupel got offered a really nice job. We don't know what the conditions were but if part of those conditions that Heupel needed to take the reigns immediately, then he had to do that.
I don't really care about Elarbee because I don't think he'd have made a difference either way. As for Heupel - it's hard for me to criticize the guy for making the same decision that any of us would've done. The optics are obviously not great but the logic is what it is. Besides, Heupel didn't fumble 2 footballs and mis-fire on a snap. Take away those 3 plays and Mizzou wins it and probably pretty easily. Yeah, the first quarter left them working without a net but they still had the talent and tools to overcome it. They just didn't do so. |

I laughed when I saw Texas's punter had declared early for the draft.

We were...not right. Is getting butt-****ed on national television by a Punter the most 'Because Mizzou' thing to ever happen? I mean lets be real here, Alabama is never going to have that happen to them. And Kansas isn't ever going to be on national television. You have to be the perfect storm of decent and hapless in order to get that kind of stage and then be embarrassed in that kind of fashion. I'd say 'perfect storm of decent and hapless' pretty much sums up the last 30ish years of Mizzou athletics, no? |

I think you all are being a little over dramatic yeah you looked like shit last night but that's what happens when you lose coaches and don't play for a month. Texas looked like it had some better athletes which is why recruiting is important. In the end this was nothing more than a pre season game and the real momentum for Mizzou will be heading into signing day and Spring ball.

At no point did Texas look like they had better athletes. Mizzou looked like the more explosive team the entire game. But Mizzou committed more undisciplined penalties and more stupid mistakes while also getting gouged by a punter. The game that just got played is the inverse of what you're describing. Texas 'out-fundamentled' a team that looked more explosive and more dynamic pretty much across the board. The only place there was an advantage for Texas was in the LB corps and even that was a result of scheme (because Mizzou was shockingly predictable). I don't see this loss as any kind of damning indictment on Mizzou at all. If anything they showed they could easily hang with a team that has far more advantages than MU does. But they simply dicked up. They (inexplicably) played like a team that felt like they were obvious favorites and shot themselves in the foot. |

I couldn’t even bear to watch that game last night. I literally turned it off early in the 3rd quarter when the writing on the wall became clear. Virtual home game for Texas, but you deserve to lose when you turn the ball over like that. Add the penalties on top of that and field position and blowout city happens. Why we ran so many plays east-west on a fast team was also beyond me. Vertical passing game was wide open all night, our fill-in OC was to scared to call the plays. He preferred to run the ball with an undersized Senior and inexperienced frosh against a stout run defense. You know you can throw downfield to open up the run lanes as well. Oh well....another Mizzou letdown in a big national game. And the Texas coach mocking our JR QB???? Bush league. But what do you expect from the Longhorns...the steers are on the helmets and now we know who the queer is.
