*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

They don't.

We also praise his velocity, his accuracy, and his improvisational ability.

The fact that he can make throws down the field that other QB's can't is pretty awesome though. It's kinda hard to NOT get hyped about teaming a uniquely talented arm with the best deep threat since Randy Moss.

Big plays decide games. Always have, always will.

Too long we had to watch Alex kill any hope of YAC with his late throws. No chance in hell Alex ever throws that ball to Hill crossing behind Kelce and LBs.

Pat threw 10 interceptions in a gazillion attempts. My point is his interception rate is low. Manning is not an interception machine. But neither is Pat. Saying the SEC has better defensive players doesn't tell the whole story. Just because you play against oh, LSU doesn't mean Pat would become a pick machine.

In fact, he did play LSU and put up 370 yards, 4 TD, 1 INT.

Pat was also expected to win games by himself. Had to score non stop. That mindset should have led to far more interceptions than it did.

Yeah. I think Nebraska won like 3 Titles while Manning was at Tennessee. The SEC was just another conference back then.

The Big12 was elite in 1997

Manning lost to Nebraska. They were down 42-9 when he was benched

SEC was no better than any other conference back then. Florida lost to a Nebraska 62-24 in 1995 as well

Different era

We will have to agree to disagree. Time will tell. In Denver, Mahomes move the chains and kept the defense on the sideline, while working with the JV offense. I know. I was there!

Not sure how many Planateer's can say they were at Mahomes's first NFL start, but my wife and I were!
