Or you could draft another "speedster" like Dexter McLuster - who's dramatically worse in every possible way. Or DAT, who's better but is made of glass.
Who was that other speedster guy who kept getting injured, finally caught a TD, then tore his ACL the next play or something? Joe McSomething? Note I could have every detail wrong here - but you get the idea. |

I think you extend Hill, Tag Ford, and let Jones play out his last year then franchise him, try to sign him, or let him go - depending on cost vs. value. Not extending Jones now gives us a lot more cap room to go out and get Landon Collins or somebody.

Tyreeks speed is legendary. If and when this guy loses a step, hes still going to be the fastest guy on the field. Pay up.

Yes, you do.
Why do you think Watkins had such a huge game against the Pats? It's because they were focusing so much attention Tyreek that it opened up options underneath. They were literally putting so much attention on Tyreek that they were completely vacating portions of the field to take him out of the game. You either try to single up on Tyreek and get burnt or you bracket and cloud him and get picked apart with a healthy Watkins. You extend Tyreek and draft Watkins eventual replacement. I'd love to see us take someone like Texas' Lil'Jordan Humphrey in the third or fourth. He's a big bodied guy who is an excellent route runner, understands how to settle in softs spots in the zone, and is a monster in YAC. I don't trust Sammy to stay healthy and our offense bogged down when he came off the field and teams were able to double Tyreek + Kelce. |

He's not even a great route runner yet and he's already the focal point of defensive gameplans.

Let’s ask it a different way, would you ever, ever, ever want to play him?
Answer: negative. Pay the man his money. |

I'm sure that shares and profit-sharing in various proven Hunt enterprises can be arranged. Trucking and Oil/Gas are fairly lucrative enterprises that pay well long after the playing years have come and gone....
