****Our Wide Receivers Suck- Official Thread****

They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

And we're one game into this thing, and people are already acting like the season is over and it's all a failure.

It's going to be okay. No Kelce, no Jones, and it still took a fluke pick 6.

Lions are good. Chiefs will get it figured out.
They probably will because of Pat and Kelce. But this IS a bottom tier receiver group and the hype in those preseason threads was beyond ridiculous. And it's ok to criticize Veach for his challenges with a particular position group.

No, probably not, and I hope the team does everything they can to buffer him from what's coming. He's too talented to let this permanently define him.

Jesus Christ what a RUDE awakening! OUR WR's cant catch a cold. JC I am so embarrassed on this turn out. I would be vomiting if I was at that game - SB tarp revealed or not - this was SHITSVILLE on ALL levels. Oh it was against an NFC team? **** THAT! WE are 0-1 to start the season! YEAH!

They'll be fine. They are mostly young and inexperienced in the offense. Kelce being out made it look worse than it really was. I would bet that we don't see anything close to this performance the rest of the season.

We lost by 1 ****ing point.

People like you forget that we barely won a Super Bowl.

The margins in these games are small. Never get so high when you win and never get so low when you lose. This team is excellent when they're at full strength and only really, really good when they're missing 2 of the top 10 players in the NFL.

But anyone can lose on any day and that's the sport.

Gotta try to compartmentalize this game as an isolated incident. Because that was so ****ing terrible i want to go off on some epic rants.

But....no. Gotta stay composed.

Because there is no ****ing way they can be that bad AGAIN. That was a 1-in-a-million level of sucktitude.

It's early. It's a process. There's no way it can be that bad again. Someone will emerge from this shit.

Lions are good. Chiefs will get it figured out.
Lions offense is considered top 5 by many, and we held them to 14 points on Defense.

If the Defense continues to do that, everything will be fine.

Cut out the drops and the tipped balls for pick sixes and we will be fine.

Chiefs have a nice, long time to let this game stew and to work and get better.

Mahomes was bound to lose an opening game eventually. And it was not anywhere close to his fault.

Or, if you want to be a pessimist, you can assume Toney won't be able to stay healthy (he hasn't once in his career) and you have NOTHING but question marks.

They need some sort of a presence besides Kelce - MVS ain't it.

Chiefs win that game with even a league average WR core. By double digits.

I don't know how you even put Toney back out on the field next week after that performance.
