If we lock up the #1 seed, I feel pretty strongly that Andy is going to sit the starters.

If this team is 16-0 the one thing Reid could do to absolutely **** this situation up would be to piss off the players by costing them a chance at perfection. He let Chris Jones play last year for a measely $1M incentive. He would have let Kelce play if he had wanted to. Reid isn't going to **** this up. It's all academic because I don't think it is likely at all that we'll be in that scenario, but come ON. |

Do we want to? I mean...hell yeah?
Do 2 things that have never been done in the same season? Yeah, that would be pretty awesome. |

Seems like a bunch of people are afraid of greatness.

Yes I’m suuuuure Mahomes and other players will be just fine with sitting the last week if we are still undefeated. Zero chance Reid takes that away from them! No team have won three straight SBs….. Only one has went undefeated….. Make the chance of both happening in a season drive that competitiveness instead of fear and doubt! |

Yeah, I’d love to go undefeated. People still talk about the 72 Dolphins literally every year because they were the only ones to do it.
If it’s framed as an either or between undefeated regular season and a threepeat Super Bowl then I’d obviously take the threepeat, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be one or the other. |

When the Patriots were going for 17-0 Belichick unapologetically said they are absolutely going to try for it. The contrast would be when the Colts were going for it and Jim Caldwell sabotaged the effort and demoralized his team. I'm thinking Andy is closer to Belichick on this and would use common sense.

Feels like this team is completely used to the pressure now.
When you think about it the Chiefs had ultra motivation to win all of their SB’s. 2019 was losing to Brady at home to end their season, 2022 was the Bengals embarrassment and 2023 was everybody doubting them and the Raiders embarrassment. Kinda want a team to push our shit in one time to light a fire under our ass. Kinda like Seabiscuit. Get that extra ammo |

I think you want your team just focused on winning, same for the fans. If they go undefeated, great. Main goal is the SB, undefeated is noise… nice noise, but it’s noise.
If they are undefeated in that final game, put the starters out there … at least for a half. You don’t want a key injury in what would likely be a meaningless game going into the playoff run. But, you go out there balls to the wall. Gotta be smart, but you can’t be overly cautious. Just go win. |
