This deserves it's own thread.

Ward during media week:

Kelce's response:

"You like it over there, huh? That shit's better on the other side, huh?"

**** this ungrateful shitbag. We got you a SB and got you paid pussy.

Yes. One of my first posts on this site was simply asking how it's possible for ward to always be right there but just can't get his head around in time...to which staylor (or franchise) told me to shut the f up. Good times....

Yes or he would get flat out burnt for a big play… remember Houston’s first scoring play in the Divisional Game.

You know who I remember? Dan Sorensen. Maybe he should have gotten a max contract instead of Ward.

I always thought Ward was good, but this writer is taking it over the top a bit (actually, a lot).

2024 NFL roster waivers and trade candidates

49ers cornerbacks
Charvarius Ward is the crown jewel in San Francisco's secondary but a lack of depth and experience led to Ambry Thomas, Deommodore Lenoir and Samuel Womack III picking up varying levels of playing time early in their careers. The team drafted Renardo Green out of Florida State in the second round while Isaac Yiadom, Rock Ya-Sin and Darrell Luter Jr. compete opposite Ward.

Ehh. Not really. Ward has been a top 10 guy the last 2 years. SF got a hell of a deal on that contract

I expected him to still be good but he's probably actually a little bit better even now. I expected him to regress from his final season here but that just wasn't really the case.

Ward was ranked in the top-5 last season. Top-10 the season before. And it's not just stats or some PFF alchemy. I watched Chav lock up and shut down DK Metcalf in two games two seasons ago. He's become a topflight CB.

DK has to hate him. He's been more physical than him at the line a lot, run routes for him and broke up a hand full of passes at the catch point.

Yeah - Ward's a stud.

We missed out there. He's a screaming bargain for SF.

Is what it is.

Yeah. I wanted him to stay but it’s hard to argue with the outcome.

That being said if keeping Ward precluded McDuffie, give me McDuffie. I ****ing love that dude.

Can't bat 1.000 all the time.

We ended up with Sneed and McDuffie for 2 years and still have McDuffie. It turned out alright for us.

He didn't make it all that hard to drive down the field for 3 consecutive scores in the SB.

McDuffie and Sneed on the other hand...

But we did. The Chiefs were the ones who identified his talent and went out to get him. They then developed him into a top-flight starter. At the end, they decided to move on, due to his price tag.

Did we also not bat 1.000 on Sneed?

That is exactly what I was thinking.

Sure, he's great but "crown jewel" would indicate Primetime, Revis Island, or someone of that stature.
