Watched "In a World" on Netflix Instant. Under the radar but good comedy cast including Rob Cordry, Demetri Martin, and Ken Marino from The State. Easy to watch and some funny moments.

I just watched "Mr. Nobody" on NetFlix. The description was putting me off. I thought it sounded crappy. I was pleasantly surprised when I finally gave it a shot at the request of my older son. It held my attention throughout. I would recommend it.

Watched The Interview
Well, it wasn't the worst movie I have ever seen. |

Watched 'into the woods' with the fam tonight. I liked it a lot. I've never seen the stage play and not familiar with the songs at all. But I truly enjoyed the music and songs with the overlapping lyrics. Good stuff. Funny at times too

Finally got around to Harmontown.
Pause for a second, shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhOCKING!!! Man, did it deliver, for its intended audience. I seriously can't get a lens for those who didn't wade through the Harmon experience IRT, but I listened to the podcasts as they went out, then to see the story behind them, and immediacy, and the fluency. If I had to sum it up in a word, the word would be honest. It's the most honest thing I felt I've seen in a while. Its really weird to have the word 'relatable' be applied to mass media in a manner for immediate, but this documentary really offers a perspective on a life lived that it could be the life you live, yet so brave and quick you don't know if you'd survive. It echoes all the things you'd like to think you would do, while suggesting that you'd never have the courage to follow through. If it's possible to be both humbled and inspired at the same time, that is Harmontown for me. Life is full of broken people who are trying to do better. What a message. |

Just got back from seeing The Imitation Game. I like it but it was a really artsy-fartsy movie. Benedict Cumberbatch should win best actor.

I watched Whiplash with the wife last night, we both thought it was.... good. I guess we just expected more because it made so many top 10 list of 2014.
Spoiler!
JK Simmons' performance was worth the watch alone. |

Gonna watch a trilogy of movies tonight.
Before Sunrise Before Sunset Before Midnight Unless I'm mistaken romance movies don't usually come in trilogies. And all 3 have good reviews. Should be interesting. |
