****Our Wide Receivers Suck- Official Thread****

They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

Can’t count on another team shitting the bed or a guy having a heart attack on the field the gift us a bye/HFA.

I’ll just ignore that this is a place for discussion and wait until November to comment on this team.
What a load of horseshit.

You're here for discussion, while telling us that everything that happened the last 5 years is irrelevant, and we can only judge based on 2 games. We also can't predict improvement. All that matters is right now, and those 2 games.

Now I know your ****ing history here well enough to know that before the Mahomes era, you would've never accepted that if the tables were turned.

If the Chiefs looked like the best team in the NFL after 2 weeks with Alex Smith looking like Tony Brady at QB, you wouldn't agree that we could only judge the first 2 weeks. You'd point out what Alex was for the rest of his time here and in SF.

You're completely full of shit.

Our WRs should get the PhD designation on their jerseys

That’s how long it takes to learn Andy’s playbook

I think our guys will look real solid by playoff time.

If they continue to struggle we can start worrying.

So it wasn’t great….and they won a sb

Would that lead you to think it doesn’t in fact need to be great to win a sb?

It's just that I am opposed to any sort of debate on the matter.
You keep saying it’s the same WR corp, and I can argue that really MVS is the only carry over.

Moore did shit last year. Toney came in late. Rice, Ross and James are all new.

There’s a reason 15 keeps double clutching. He doesn’t have a relationship with anyone outside of Kelce and MVS.

Yes it is in a thread about our issues at the position. This isn't some Uber talented group just needing to gel.

But hey whatever.

Toney getting hurt and missing camp probably threw a wrench in some things. Probably shouldn’t count on an injured guy to not get injured if we wanna discuss that, but he’s a guy they think can be a legitimate high end wr and with our success and draft spots, plus the cost of high end wrs, you’re gonna have to take some chances and risks

Ok. So play that out. Should we expect that to improve as more time goes on?

We're on the same page, dude. I wanted Hopkins because I felt like we'd benefit from having an adult in that room. But I never would've paid what OBJ and Hopkins got so those just weren't viable or realistic alternatives.

It's wayyy too soon to judge what we have now and we can surely see some improvement from week 1 to week 2. I don't put blind trust in Mahomes but I do think this group has enough talent to be productive enough to win us a lot of games.

Expect? I honestly don’t know considering how Andy historically feels about young WRs

A first round pick and 2 2nds would seem to be some talent

Our veteran WR is consistently inconsistent so that's kind of how we ended up here.
