In terms of personnel/health, this should be the best defense we've had under Reid/Sutton.

Thank god it doesn't look serious with Mitchell. I want the entire defense intact for once.

The Terrence Mitchell/Seantavius Jones/Bryan Witzmann of OLBs, it sounds like

Been bounced around the league, on and off practice squads for the past four seasons. He's older and might be putting it together now, but it also might just mean he's done this kind of thing before and is better at showing up during camp practices now.

Also, he's 290. He's a big dude. If he's playing OLB at that weight, he MUST have some kind of lateral mobility/agility/speed that makes him a good player to have spotted at the second level. Otherwise he unfortunately screams OLB/DE tweener who can't get on the field except for pass rush situations along the defensive line. That was part of Mike Catapano's problem.

Ron Parker is a prime example of getting cut cut 6 times and now he's a top 5 FS. Hopefully Okine pans out. We need some depth

At $8 million for a 2-down player, he damn well better make this run defense a top 10 unit and ideally top 5.

If you're going to overpay for a one-dimensional run stuffer, he'd better by god stuff the ****ing run.

Depends on if we get the Ford that unexpectedly kicked ass on the strong side or the Ford that unexpectedly sucked ass on the weak side.

I'd have never in a million years expected his play to fall off like it did when he was given the assignment that clearly fits his skill-set the best. He's just born to take over that role that Hali held down for so many years.

Also need to see what DJ is truly capable of. The nasty truth is that he was slowing before his ACL went 'splodey. And can Terrance Mitchell actually play (or stay healthy?).

It was a much needed move after watching the Tenny & Pttisburgh game last year.

BJ Kissel @ChiefsReporter
New #Chiefs DL Roy Miller said he's one of the best run stuffers in the league, said to go ask OL around the league, "they'll tell you."

BJ Kissel @ChiefsReporter
Miller, who also had an Achilles injury last year and played at Texas, spoke w/ Derrick Johnson during his rehab. They know each other well.

It would be really awesome if ford could be a 12-14 sack guy from that side. If that happens and Houston is actually healthy, with Jones coming on maybe they could get back to being able to rush the passer
