My roommate all through college told me he had Covid-19 last week. He even showed me the results from his doctor to prove it although it didn't have his name on it.

I was a little skeptical because he's only 34 or 35 and most of the time they weren't testing people of that age without significant symptoms requiring hospitalization. Apparently his wife is immune compromised because she takes a certain medication.

Anyway, he said he missed 1.5 days of work. He said it didn't feel like a big deal - at least to him.

It seems like people either beat it in a week and thats it. Or they think they are getting better at that time and then wham. There comes the lower respiratory symptoms.

I feel really strongly that I was in the second category. I went to my doctor in January and got some meds. Thought I was better, returned to work for a week, and then the following week got so bad I went to urgent care cause I couldn't breathe. Negative for flu, x-rays showed no pneumonia. Gave me some antibiotics and prednisone and let me go. Will never really know, but it was weird. And kinda scary at the time. Add to that I've had residual asthma and wheezing ever since. Very minor, but the "permanent damage" articles have my attention. That said, I'm able to go running for 5+ miles at a time so damage must not be too bad.

Might be of interest to a few of you, but a couple different packing plants have had workers come up positive. Their supply chains will feel it if they end up closing those plants for very long.
