Singer is a steal at that point. Between juggling the kids, I didn’t realize he was still available. Glad they pulled the trigger.
I think he slid because of money. When he fell out of the top 5, money became an issue for a lot of the other teams. Same thing with the Liberatore kid. It’s a great start, guys. |

These guys think he puts a lot of strain on his elbow. Also the team that drafted him out of high school didn't like his medical. However, he was very durable during his Florida career https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uf90rvaFsqU RE Projectability I've heard some people project him at a #3 starter at best. If you watch him pitch, there is no doubt that he has the mental makeup to be a starter in the majors. You can just tell he is a true competitor |

Just hope he stays a starter and doesn't have to go to the bullpen like every other Royals draft pick.

Kansas City Royals select Brady Singer with 18th overall pick
The Kansas City Royals went with pitching with their first pick in the 2018 MLB Draft, adding Florida Gators righty Brady Singer to their ranks. The guys on the MLB Network coverage said Singer was the safest pick remaining when the Royals were on the clock. One also said he has the potential to be a really good closer in the majors. Singer has pitched in big games during his career at Florida, including during the College World Series last year with the Gators, who won the whole she-bang that year. This past season saw Singer posting a 2.27 ERA and holding his opponents to a .188 batting average. The MLB Draft is a whole different animal from other sports’ drafts with the biggest reason why being that these players take a few years of grooming before getting to the big leagues. Singer is a college player though, so he could be ready to roll for the team in the next two or three years, perhaps just when the franchise is starting to compete again. The Kansas City Royals still have four more picks on Monday and three more in the next 20 picks. This bodes well for a team that is looking to rebuild and they need to make the most out of all of these selections. Singer is going to get put to work for the Royals and hopefully in the next few years he’ll become a household name. He’s shown he can handle big moments during his time at Florida and if the Royals can get back to the promise land again soon, they’ll need those kind of performances from the Gator pitcher. Alex Duvall of Royals Farm Report had this to say about Brady Singer, This guy could be in KC’s rotation very soon. He’s probably a #2 at his peak, but I’d expect him to be a mid-rotation starter. Duvall also noted that he was surprised to see Singer still available at pick number 18. It’d be great to see the Royals hit on a pitching prospect, especially a first rounder, and be able to hold onto him for the next big run. Pitching prospects can be risky, but Singer seems like he’s worth the risk. Welcome to the Kansas City Royals, Brady Singer! |

So do we all. Him being a UF product is a good thing. They do a good job developing their guys and getting them ready His changeup sounds like it already is average-ish, and he has a curve and a slider (better slider than curve). Not much polish needed there. |

Beer is probably going to be a top selling jersey if he makes the majors.
