Do you think Andy Reid is a good coach? Do you think Andy Reid's goal is to turn one of our guys into Tutu Atwell or Nico Collins after 2 weeks?

These young WR guys are still developing their "Mahomes Eyes". It took JJSS 1/2 a season to get Pat's eyes but it only took him that long because he already had 5 yrs experience. These young guys don't have crap under their belt yet. Kelce is the only one who has full Mahomes eyes developed and MVS and Watson are getting there. Must be patient.

Our scheme sucks? Andy Reid's scheme? Really?

This is a hall of fame (shame?) worthy post. Truly one of the dumbest ****ing things anyone has ever said on this forum, which is saying quite a lot.

You keep saying this and its flawed. Who cares what he is in NE? The point is JJSS had 933 yards IN KC last season, which lead all WR's. That production is gone and nobody on the roster has shown they can step up and make up for it. (Yet).

No, I'm talking about the issue being the "scheme".

If you think Andy Reid's scheme is the issue, and that's why you aren't confident that the Chiefs offense can get it together, that's just really ****ing silly dude.

We have one of the best defenses in the league it seems rn and it’s only gonna get better. Barring injuries this is a top 5-6 defensive team

OMG how will we ever overcome the loss of JuJu Smith-Schuster?

I can't believe the same ****ing reeruns that went doom and gloom afte the Tyreek trade are doing the same shit with POO POO Smith Shooter after winning a SB.

It's like you are addicted to being pessimistic.

It was a combined effort. Skyy, Watson and Gray all had 3 receptions which totaled just over 1/3 of Mahomes passing yards.

This team needs a TE to compliment Kelce. He can't play the game every down anymore. Andy's offense needs that threat out there consistently.

You want to bet he averages closer to 24 yds/catch on the season, say, $1000?
BOLD call there!

You do understand that outliers affect the averages, right? I'm not sure you get it.

If you have a receiver who is 8, 4, 10, 9, 3, 9, 75, guess what... that 75 isn't just ignored. Those are real yards gained. And they have an impact on what he's capable of explosively, how the Chiefs moved the ball on that drive, and how defenses will think of him going forward.

But very bold bet there. If he averages more yards/catch than any receiver in history, you win. Big leap on your part.

Through two games, it’s certainly not up to expectations.

18 points a game and looking sloppy.

RIGHT NOW, the scheme hasn’t been up to snuff.

Historically? Of course, he’s the best. Gotta figure out why the last two weeks have been less than expectations.

Issue rn is offensive team speed. Mvs has no agility (terrible RAC) kadarius is more agile than fast. Guy from the giants looks tiny and slow.

Pacheco seems to be the only explosive offensive player we have to the naked eye. I’m hoping rice is potentially one. He looks to be the most explosive aside from tony right now.

Hardman was a bigger loss than I anticipated. Reid is best with a desean jackson/Hardman/hill gadget guy who can house a screen pass. Right now we don’t have it.

What the actual **** are you even talking about?

do you even know?

The WR group was considerably better today than last week.

That's not really even arguable. It's just a flat fact.

I don't know what superhuman feats you're expecting, but only Tyreek Hill is as fast as Tyreek Hill.

for everyone else, you get open, you catch the ball, you run until they tackle you.

Knocking people for doing that just shows how batshit some of you guys are getting.

Blown coverage, or did Andy exploit the rules of their defensive scheme? Because that's what he ****ing does, better than anyone maybe ever in the history of football. So Skyy's big play doesn't count...because he plays for Andy Reid?

you want some hyperbole, there's some. Hell, that's arguably true.

YES, MAHOMES CAN DRAG THE GARBAGE MAN TO A TITLE. HE DID IT LAST YEAR. WE STILL HAVE THE SAME GARBAGE MEN AT WR.

Do I trust Mahomes will do it every year? Of course not. That was a borderline miracle.

But it's not as if they didn't invest anything at all in the WR room. And it's not as if there were some spectacular options out there who would've been wonderful fits at that price point. And it's not like they just hoarded the money and didn't deploy it to other offensive positions like, say, tackle that might also help the offense go.

This isn't about having the best WR corps or the best offense. This is about having the best team. I don't love putting the weight of the world on Mahomes to play at an MVP level each year and lead us to a SB, but I also think it worked last season when most of you (and me) didn't think it was possible. And I also trust that the leadership of this organization isn't blind and stupid, sees what we see, and is willing to make adjustments if things don't work out this season.

This is the long game. And judging by last year's success we've wildly outperformed expectations thus far. The jury is out going forward, but guess what? That's true for every team that didn't win a SB against our 'garbage men' WRs from last year.
Our team goes as our offense goes. Of course you have budget constraints. But do you really want to go into January relying on the defense to be the stronger side? I want the ball in mahomes’ hands. I want him to close games. That’s why you have games like today and week 1 that feel lukewarm. Our defense was dominant but our offense was average. And it doesn’t sit right right me.

I’m quite happy to replicate what won us last years Super Bowl. Yeah it definitely works. look, obj was part of that equation too. Doesn’t mean I don’t think a better LT makes us even better. And that’s where I just don’t agree. Right now we have a complete starting lineup on defense AND depth. If we’re being honest we have less than stellar results on offense. Our big swings (obj, ceh, mecole… we will see on Taylor) werent great. we’ve thrown a few second round picks at WR while other teams have been going on an absolute run on first rounders. We just feel like the offense has a way higher ceiling than we get credit for even in spite of being very successful without it
