Not the best ever, but my favorite was Albert Lewis. Really that entire defensive backfield was just a thrill to watch. There will never be another like it.

Same. Sure, it was a different game back then but what they did to the vikings in SB IV was very impressionable on a 9 year old.

Bobby Bell. First outside linebacker inducted into the Pro Football HOF. Says it all.

If you want a top ten of great Chiefs defenders, I think this would be it:
Bell
Lanier
DT
Emmitt Thomas
Buck Buchanan
Johnny Robinson
Curly Culp
(all of these guys are in the pro football HOF)
Deron Cherry
Chris Jones
Derrick Johnson

Now, no Neil Smith (Donk Traitor) no Albert Lewis (Raider Traitor), Donnie Edwards or Kevin Ross (Chargers), Honey Badger (not enough tenure).

That's my list, anyway.

but ya Derrick Thomas is always going to be my favorite.

StoneCold Chris Jones is probably 2nd now. He's the 3 time afterall.

DJ might be #3

McDuffie might actually be my #4 right now

I always really liked James Hasty too

I started watching in the 90's so I never got to see the old time greats.

I think there's a distinction between favorite and best. DT will always be iconic, but it's tough to ignore the impact that Chris has had on three SB wins.
