I'm thinking it's alcohol this time. He got away from security and got drunk. I'm pretty sure his reinstatement covered alcohol too

Like many I’ve unfortunately had to deal with alcoholics and addicts in my personal and professional life and you learn — very slowly — that there is literally nothing you can do yourself to help someone else who is wired to poison themselves. It makes no sense that Gordon would burn another chance but that’s because you’re applying sense to the situation in the first place. Some need it to survive other trauma, others need it because their brains are re-wired. But whatever the reason there is nothing that will prompt an addict to get help until that addict decides they want it. And many don’t reach that point until it is too late. Hopefully this guy can find a path that works for him.

Really makes no difference what choice of personal destructional tool he uses. Bottom line right now "his flesh rules" and his allegiance is to his flesh.

From my understanding of him is that he is a pretty intelligent and articulate guy which makes this even more difficult to overcome. Those qualities make "pride and denial" that much more thicker and difficult to breakthrough and overcome. For all we know he could be giving "lip service" once again.
