Return on investment for Rodgers is...

$18,512,500 per play. Holy hell this man ruins everything he touches

it's either that or he is Robin Hood and going to hand out all his rapings from the NFL after his career is over.

Yeah when I was trying to think of an instance like this I could only come up with Montana's concussion in the afc championship game but that wasn't 4 plays into that game let alone the season.

^ agreed. I also feel bad for the actual players on the team. It seemed during training camp they were all so optimistic and excited to have him on the team and to have an actual guy to rely on to carry them in games. Now they are back to square 1 and they know it, as do the fans.

People look at Brady's accomplishments but severely undervalue one of his greatest traits and that is always being healthy (outside the year Pollard ended his season). Rodgers for all his talent has missed a lot of time over the years. I would feel far more confident that a 40 year old Brady makes it through the season than a 40 year old Rodgers.

Brady looked thin last year and was pretty bad.

Rogers looks thin this year and got hurt 4 plays in.

My takeaway is don’t lay off the PEDs.

We had Krieg on that 93 team who had led the Chiefs to the playoffs with a 10-6 record the season before, so we wouldn’t have been in such dire straits. One thing Marty was good at was winning with backup QB’s, at least in the regular season.

Yeah, that's not how ROI is calculated bud, but I understand the letters stand for a bunch of words and that might be hard.

The investment is the $18m. The return is the production, so zero. The ROI= 0 yards, 0 points, 0 wins.

It was still part of one of the nastiest one-two punches the football gods ever delivered, though.

I remember waking up that morning having no doubt that the Super Bowl would be Montana v. Young. Zero doubt. None. It would be perfect. Beautiful. A game for the ages in which the master would prevail over his noxious apprentice and cement his legacy as the greatest QB ever, for us.

Instead, we got the ****ing Bills and the ****ing Cowboys.

Of all the shitty playoff losses we endured, that one is only surpassed on the misery scale by the Donx cooking spray game. Had Joe gone down in week one at least I wouldn't have had a dream to crush.

Aaron Rodgers is an unexcused absence from Jets mandatory OTA to attend a "personal event".

Jets' Aaron Rodgers absent from mandatory minicamp due to personal event; QB informed team, Robert Saleh says
Rodgers is subject to fines due to his 'unexcused' absence at Jets activities

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers did not attend mandatory minicamp on Tuesday and the absence wasn't excused, according to Robert Saleh. The Jets head coach said Rodgers had a previously scheduled event that is "important to him." The veteran will now be subject to a fine due to the missed session(s).

Rodgers is subject to $16,953, $33,908, and $50,855 in fines for missing all three days, totaling $101,716.

The missed practice was no surprise to Saleh, but a previous conversation about the quarterback missing time does not warrant the absence to be labeled as "excused."

"Aaron and I spoke before OTAs started. He's been very good in communication. He's been here the entire time. It's unexcused, but he had an event that was very important to him, which he communicated," Saleh said.

With the amount of investment they put into their OL, they better hope he's not cooked.

Meh. There’s clips of him from OTAs; his arm and mobility look fine. Jets fans need to pray that their OL is actually functional.

But his problem goes much deeper than just the physical side of things, IMO

Dude has had ALL of this time off and away from football other than the rehab process... plenty of time for sensory depravation retreats, hanging out with Bobby Kennedy talking politics, doing shrooms and going on holistic chakra building out of body experiences to other planes of existence or whatever the **** it is he does, lol

He destroyed the morale of that team going down so early last year as the brand new savior, and now that he has a chance to step up as a genuine leader chomping at the bit for another shot at showing them how to win... he skips minicamp

His arrogance is off the charts, truly thinks he can just show up and flip a switch

The guy is an epic jackoff, he simply doesn't get it and never will

The Jets season ended in early January… these are the only three days of required team activities between then and training camp at the end of July.

Show up… not that difficult.
