Listened to Patton Oswald on Corrolla today. Corolla seemed to step on Patton's feet early, but the podcast got going. I liked Corollas rant on Demi Moore being the wes welker of hot woman (even though it was wrong) I also loved Corollas hard on for f-4 phantoms. Dennis Haysburts Dong jokes were quite funny.

Just got done listening to the Carolla's episode with Kevin Smith where they try their best to settle their "feud" and figure out what really happened. Interesting stuff.

I'm a big fan of Joe Rogan. Whenever his friend Brian opens his mouth, though, I want to weep for humanity.

Redban has moments when he can be truly hilarious, but they're so scattered between his random subject changes and his awful jokes. That dude has been doing standup for nearly nine years and dates porn stars, but he's dumb as a post. WTF am I doing wrong?

Yeah. Joe will be going off about something really deep that makes you think and that dumbass will chime in with something completely asinine that immediately lets you know he has NO IDEA what Joe was talking about... just makes me facepalm. Shows you how awesome Joe is, though, as he just calmly explains to him that's NOT AT ALL what he meant. Just blows my mind how those 2 are so different and yet they're such good friends.

First, the reason I came back here was to mention the 'Who Charted' with James Adomian. I usually listen to even the good comedy podcasts and chuckle mentally but not audibly. I'm more of comedy analyzer than an easy laugh, but I have been rolling the entire episode. Wee-wee is coming up with great off the wall questions and Adomian is such a quick wit with such a roster of impersonations.
Also, Maron WENT OFF [IMO] on WTF on a couple of thinly veiled comedy scenes in defense of Jake Johannson when he was on. Ranted for a good five minutes about how some pockets of young comedians are exclusionary and cliquish and not respectful or inclusive enough of the guys who have been around and pioneered the business and are still doing good work. Pretty sure he was referring to the CBB, UCB, NNF contingents in LA. I know a little of the history of Maron being Odenkirk's and Cross' red-headed stepchild around the time they didn't bring him on to Mr. Show. Quote:
You might want to try Mohr stories. It's often just a bunch of funny, but last month there was an episode with Gary Gulman that was one of the most surreal and moving things I've EVER heard. Basically, they're old friends with bouts of passive-aggression in their wilder days, including Gulman tackling Mohr off the stage [whether as a bit or in genuine anger is disputed] at a gig. They started off real silly, almost like a couple giggling girls at a slumber party sharing inside jokes. Then Mohr hits on some resonant questions that recalled Gulman's childhood and suddenly Gulman is literally spilling his guts about pain and disappointments and how it's affected him for life and they morph into this impromptu therapy session with 'love you bro's' abounding. Highly recommended as, as I said, one of the most unique things I've ever heard. |

OMFG, forget what I said about not laughing aloud at podcasts.
Comedy Bang Bang with Adomian, Tompkins, and Proops has had me laughing uncontrollably for 30 minutes straight. HIGHLY recommended. |

Yay!!! NNF has Danielle Koenig back on. 2 hours of her glorious giggle. Nirvana.
EDIT: and when the lady next door steps out on the balcony, and Danielle stands up to check it out, we get a butt shot!!! |

I haven't read through this whole thread so flame away if it's been mentioned. My wife hates me with Rich Voz and Bonnie McFarlane can be pretty funny. I've never been a fan of either individually but together it's pretty ****ing funny. She gets pretty pissed at his dumb ass.
