Jerry is ****ing crazy for holding on to Garrett for this long but he probably feels like they can compete in that horrid division.. and he's right.

They're also pretty starved for any type of playoff success. Dude's been living off that run in the mid-90s for almost 30 years now.

Cooper is literally the same age as Calvin Ridley when you think about stuff like that, the trade isn't that bad.

They also need to give Dak some help before they decide to pay him or not.

Cooper is clearly talented and he's still only 24.

The Cowboys are a pretty solid team- just not coached well. They've got a good, young, fast defense, a great RB, and a good OL (especially when/if Frederick returns). Dak has shown that he can be effective if given the right circumstances. Their biggest issue was relying on a 5'8" white guy as their only receiving threat.
IMHO, he's been a bust to date, BTA, he has been in Oakland. A BIG gamble by Jones giving up a # 1. At 24, Cooper has the time to make good on it, but I seen some stone hands and an overall lack of effort from him.

He's been to the pro bowl twice, I wouldn't really call him a bust. Dallas isn't going to pick high and I think that this year looks like kind of a shitty WR draft year.

I feel like Cooper had one big game against us, then was non-existent all the others. Does that sound right?

I'd be a lot more worried about this if history didn't suggest the Raiders would screw up most of those picks.

Man, a 1st seems like too much. Amari has struggled the last year and a half. I can see wanting to get a look at him in your system but even if it works out he'll be at the point you need to pay him.

I liked someone's point about needing to give Dak more weapons so you can decide on him. From that perspective it makes more sense to overpay. 1yrs pick versus possibly locking yourself into a bad long term contract. Should have done better last off-season then

The debate here locally is if that was more Carrs fault than Coopers. Seems Cooper gets seperation often and Carr doesnt look his way more times than not. If I was to bet, Cooper may have a good career in Dallas

I wonder how the fans in Oakland feel about the team folding up the tent and tanking it this season?

It looks like the Raiders have decided to rebuild the team for the years in Vegas, that trying to win when moving is to hard so they are going to move on from this team now.

You seem deliriously happy with the rebuild. And kudos to you for that. But most of your compatriots have just been released from San Quentin and were promised a winner in Oakland pre-abandonment.

Do you worry that some of these folks may take their anger out on the existing Raiders players? Have you ever seen any of the Purge movies? Donald Penn could be a target after that incident last year.

Just looking out for y'all.
