This is a really tough trade for Buffalo. They carried all that dead cap and still gave up two day three picks? Plus the second is next year? Woof...
Clearly they were sick of Diggs. |

Might honestly be a blessing in disguise for Buffalo to get this guy off the team. Definitely looked like a guy on the decline last year.

If they were that worried that the deal wouldn't be there for them in mid-June, they couldn't have had many offers for him. And hell, in some ways, they may have been better served cutting him outright in June 1 to spread that dead money. They definitely would've been for 2024. This just tells me they're writing off the 2024 season and looking to 2025 with cleaner books and a little extra draft capital. That or they're going to be aggressive with their 2025 1st rounder (since they'll have the extra 2nd) to try to move up in this draft and get to Odunze or Nabers. |

Fun watching TBD trying to rationalize this trade , some are ignoring the picks going the other trying to make it sound like they got a 2 straight up for Diggs this was a salary /attitude dump.

Their offense still has Josh Allen. James Cook is really good. Kincaid looked like a very good young TE for them. Also have Knox there and Curtis Samuel is a nice complimentary piece. They’re gonna use that 2025 2nd to trade up for a WR. Probably Bryan Thomas Jr. I don’t like their run first approach with Josh Allen but they will be a playoff team. Rookie contract moves didn’t work out so now they’re building youth. |

The TwoBillsDrive thread is interesting. They are now trading into the top 10 for Diggs replacement.

Texans went 10-7 and then beat Joe Flacco in the playoffs before getting wrecked by Baltimore. People are taking way too much for granted with this team.

The Bills could do something similar. They'd give up some future assets, sure, but I don't know that it qualifies as 'mortgaging their future'. If their 2024 1st, 2025 1st and 2024 2nd could get them moved up to take Nabers, I think that's a deal worth making. Not sure that it can - but that's a worthwhile possibility to consider. |

The problem is that the top 3 WRs are going in the top 10 picks, and I just don't see the Bills going up that high.
If they trade up, it's probably for BTJ. |

They have to basically rebuild that entire defense too. |
