I don't think Perine played his way off the roster.

Payton just chose to go with youth. Tim Patrick was the same deal.

Lol thanks for spoon feeding us one of the better 3rd down backs in the game Denver. One of our most pressing needs heading into the season. Veach played that perfectly. We are going to be salting away a lot of games late with POWER running of Pacheco, Perrine and Steele.

The last time Tim Patrick played in a game, it was against he Chiefs and Tyreek Hill played in that game. Derrick Gore had the most rushing yards.

Even despite that fact, Patrick's release was controversial because Troy Franklin was essentially kept off his draft pick status. Franklin's preseason was very discouraging to say the least.

With wr contract demands. Two tight end sets and or two rb sets who can catch the ball.

Go against the grain.

It’s a good signing for KC, they can definitely use him in the short passing game and to give Pacheco a breather. Solid depth addition, especially in that offense.

That lazy drunk was just born to wear orange, wasn't he?

The only real shock was that he didn't end up a Bengal at some point.

They'll have a real nice shade of it ready for him when he eventually ends up in County anyway...

On the Bengals forum they weren't very happy that he went to the Chiefs.

He was a pain against our defense thankfully Veach signed him and he's ours.

Plus, Pacheco needs a break in the amount of carries he has in a game.

At some point every fan comes to the harsh realization that all the bravado is bullshit.

If Chase hit the open market and the Chiefs came calling, "He who shall not be named" would be "Patrick Mahomes, the GOAT" in a heartbeat.

Tim Patrick called the Chiefs soft bitches or something like that awhile back - he'd sign in KC the moment we handed him a pen.

Neil Smith taught me long ago that this is all nonsense. These dudes share agents and travel the same social circles in the off-season. They give way less of a shit about the laundry involved than we do.

I like these pickups by Veach. Low risk signings.
