*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Lol it can mean a lot. It could mean a touchdown return.

Let's not start excusing interceptions here.

National article today about how awesome Mahomes is off the field:

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...city/35993629/

Teaser excerpt:

That earnestness is refreshing in the modern NFL, where large chasms have come to separate players from fans. Rarely do the biggest stars stick around town in the offseason, and even more rarely do players willingly embrace being part of the community.

Just this week, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown bemoaned the constant attention he receives, and the fact that he can't even work out without people showing up and bothering him.

Mahomes would prefer people show up to work out with him.

Exactly, throwing a 40 yard interception on 3rd or 4th down just means that we don't have to worry about the possibility of a blocked punt or a long punt return. Other interceptions will be caused by a pass being tipped at the line or bouncing off the receivers hands. You can't judge a quarterback exclusively on the number of interceptions he is charged with.

Going for it on 4th down can get you in trouble. It should be done only in the right circumstances. An incompletion gives the ball up at the LOS.
