They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

I hope you’re right, but so far they look mortal.

Luckily they have a pleasant schedule for the next 4-6 weeks and can rattle off some wins while we wait for the WR room to produce.

Well….they’ve spent on the ol for the guy. Drafted wrs etc

He makes a big chunk of the cap. So yeah. In a capped league….you can’t really have it all

I mean cmon, they have potential to be similar if not better. But don’t act like we’re anything close to that so far.

Juju isn’t some irreplaceable superstar but we haven’t replaced his consistency and target share. He’s still a halfway decent WR. For now we have too much sporadic production. It isn’t a huge bar but sorry no, until a consistent reliable target emerges (and rice or Ross are our best bets) we aren’t last years offense.

And that’s considering we look like we’ll need to overcome lots more mistakes (which feels more like 2 years ago than last year) which requires us to be aggressive on top of efficient . And that’s assuming kelce doesn’t show signs of regression or that his injury doesn’t linger. Which raises the bar manyfold

After losing to Cincy on December 4th, the Chiefs record was 9-3. I would not describe this as “deep shit.” They ended up winning 5 straight games to finish 14-3 in the regular season.

So far this season the offense has looked terrible, no question about that. We’ll see if they can get into a better groove over the next couple months. Let’s hope so!

They were also not getting a bye/HFA.

We haven’t seen a road playoff game.

Can they get better? Absolutely! Because they’ve been VERY Average so far.

You guys don't get it. It's like speaking to a wall.

YES, MAHOMES CAN DRAG THE GARBAGE MAN TO A TITLE. HE DID IT LAST YEAR. WE STILL HAVE THE SAME GARBAGE MEN AT WR.

Do I trust Mahomes will do it every year? Of course not. That was a borderline miracle.

But it's not as if they didn't invest anything at all in the WR room. And it's not as if there were some spectacular options out there who would've been wonderful fits at that price point. And it's not like they just hoarded the money and didn't deploy it to other offensive positions like, say, tackle that might also help the offense go.

This isn't about having the best WR corps or the best offense. This is about having the best team. I don't love putting the weight of the world on Mahomes to play at an MVP level each year and lead us to a SB, but I also think it worked last season when most of you (and me) didn't think it was possible. And I also trust that the leadership of this organization isn't blind and stupid, sees what we see, and is willing to make adjustments if things don't work out this season.

This is the long game. And judging by last year's success we've wildly outperformed expectations thus far. The jury is out going forward, but guess what? That's true for every team that didn't win a SB against our 'garbage men' WRs from last year.

Thankfully the Chargers and Bengals have spotted us a game early.

Yeah, inevitably they’ll not host afc champ games I would imagine.

But there’s also a reason these things happen. This shit is hard.

I think everyone was assuming Juju was a spare part. Maybe he was but no one has stepped up yet to do what JuJu did last year.

And JuJu is one of the better slot WR's in the NFL.

I kinda think the stacked afc could help us a bit. Our division looks like a bag of hammered assholes, so hopefully the other 3 beat up on each other.
