Frank Clark no longer ****ing sucks

Ok, guys. Frank has stopped drinking and is serious about this season. I can’t stop drinking for more than 8hrs at a time so Clark’s abstinence is notable and impressive. He and Andy had a heart to heart, shared some cheeseburgers (Frank is probably now also vegan and went Impossible Burger), chugged some Mr. Pibb, and came to an understanding.

Watch his presser from today. It’s probably one of the most real and honest things I’ve seen from a player. If you’re rooting against Frank Clark after that you’re probably either repressing some demons in your life or are related to Red Dawg.

This is a safe space to celebrate Frank Clark this season. 8 sack minimum. Let’s build this guy up rather than choosing to spend the season breaking him down.

Join me on the Shark bandwagon. There’s blood in the water.

And the obligatory: keep doubting Frank ****ing Clark.

I don't know if we should resign him or not but either way he's a Chiefs legend. He should never have to buy a beer in this town again.

Agree, at times it seems like he more worried about padding his sack totals than playing containment. Time to move on.

What is all this talk about resigning? First off...he's still under contract. Second off...the dude has a cap hit bigger than Chris Jones next year. Thanks for the two rings Frank...but take a pay cut or get cut.

Hah, for sure. He had a huge offsides penalty that gave them a 1st down early on then did something else that slips my mind right now. I remember commenting that he was killing us at the time.

In my opinion, we've got four huge roster decisions to make this offseason:

1. Do we reduce Clark's cap hit and keep him around or cut ties altogether?
2. Brown Jr. Lots of options there.
3. Juan Thornhill. Make him a priority to re-sign or let him test FA?
4. Do we get a head start on extending Chris Jones?

The others I could go either way, but to me, the Clark decision is the easiest. I think we cut him altogether and look to re-tool the DL like we did with the CB room and the OL the year before that.

He had a couple plays where he rushed straight up the field and broke contain...which led to a running lane for Hurts to pick up chunks of yards.

But to answer your questions...

1. He either needs to take a drastic pay cut or you just cut him.
2. Brown Jr is getting a new deal and at this point...it's the best option.
3. I would honestly let him see what's on the market and then bring him back if he isn't getting the deals he wants. I've been a fan of his since the beginning but you can't pay everyone.
4. We should be working on an extension with Jones this offseason. Lower his cap hit this year and keep him here for the rest of his career.

Ah, yes! The three DL on the left side of the defense all crashed to the left and Clark took the widest upfield path to the QB, leaving a ****ing Mack-truck-sized hole for Hurts to run for an easy conversion. I think it was on 3rd down too.

IIRC, there was another time he had a free route to Hurts who must have seen him out of the corner of his eye and just wiggle out to his right. By all accounts, he should have been dead to rights but Clark overextended. I suppose I can forgive that one because Hurts is that dude and Clark is really not very atheltic. Hurts got Gay with a similar move later on in the game. Thankfully Gay had the athleticism to track him back down and force an incomplete pass.
