So the Chiefs will score less than half the points they just did against the team that won your division? Brilliant.

Close score.

I’m assuming Mahomes fails to make plays down the stretch, while Tannehill makes clutch throws?

The Titans blocked the FG at the end of the game because the Chiefs never changed their cadence.

Toub said they’ve addressed it and changed it up.

After reading through most of this I have a few thinga 2 say.

Both are great teams. And line up like a great game.
The old style vs the new. You have weapons on offense all over the place, and some of you understand we do as well but they are underated because we dont pass much.

On defense I would give the edge 2 the titans. Neither of us are great but the titans I believe play the role they are asked to play better. One other thing I think our defense is great with is stamina. Which I will explain next.

Everyone talks about the how explosive your offense is while the titans on a per play basis is far more explosive.

Titans
Rushing 3rd
Passing 2nd
Overall 2nd

Chiefs
Rushing 28th
Passing 10th
Overall 21st

This is not a knock on KC but just a point I wanted to make. I have seen so many people say we would want to rub the clock. We may very well want to. But we are so prone 2 fast scores it will hurt our chances at that.
Your defense is better at stopping the run, no question. But your secondary isn't elite. They aren't the Patriots secondary. And the Chiefs offense has scored over 90 points in 3 games against that secondary.

The Titans defense also doesn't seem to have much of a pass rush. If you can't generate pressure consistently against Pat, he's going to torch your secondary, period.

And where did you get those numbers for the Chiefs offense? Because I can't seem to find a single passing stat line that has the Chiefs lower than 5th. And in passing yards/game we're 2nd, total passing yards=5th, total offensive yards/game =2nd, total offensive yards=5th, points/game=5th, points total=5th . . . etc.

Please provide a link that shows the Chiefs as 10th in a passing stat.

Agreed on that. I'm talking about from the fans perspective. The players have their own motivation to succeed.

Check out how that game unfolded.

Henry ran 21 times for 88 yards, but as a team TEN ran for 166 yards, so they established their run game.

Watson had a respectable game, but screwed the team over by throwing two INTs.

But they scored 2 TDs in the first half and led 14-0 coming out of the half.

It took TEN 9 minutes and 16 plays to score their first TD. Run, run, pass. Run, run, pass . . .

But it eats up the entire 3rd quarter.

Then HOU goes on a long drive and scores another TD eating up 3 minutes.

And then TEN goes on another long drive for a TD.

And then HOU goes on another long drive TD.

And so on.

My point is, at the end of the game, when TEN needed to score fast to have a chance to even tie, they couldn't do it. That grind it out heavy run game is also their anchor. They can't score fast. They literally ran out of time because they took so much time to score on each drive. They ate up their own chance to get the ball back and tie.

Even against the worst scoring defense in the playoffs TEN couldn't score quickly.

Think about that.

Andy and Pat know this. They're going to score fast out of the gate; they aren't going to try to eat up clock in the first half. They're going to drop bombs on TEN and force them to try and score fast. Which they can't do.

We got this.
Henry was hurt that game. He was basically jogging. That is why he sat out the Saints game.

If the Titans don’t get more pressure on Pat than they did in week 10, they’re going to give up 50 this time.

And that was against our injury riddled line. Our line is fully healthy right now and they DOMINATED the Texans. Absolutely destroyed them in the pass blocking game. I don’t remember Pat getting whacked one time, he had allllllll day to throw on most of his drop backs.

The Titans can have a 10 minute drive to open the game but if they only get a FG out of it, that’s a complete failure. They might as well just go for it bc the odds are better.
The Titans have had lots of problems kicking field goals this year, going through four different kickers and one kickoff specialist who also sucked.

The current kicker has been with us for five games. We solved the kicking problem by only scoring touchdowns. We haven't attempted a field goal in those five games. Truly bizarre stat.

The Titans beat us by 3 with:

A hobbled Mahomes
A hobbled Clark
No Fisher or LDT
No Fuller
No Pennel
Ragland barely played
A different RT on three straight plays

With help from a fumble TD and two STs **** ups.

And we STILL put up 32.

But we’re not going to score more than 30. Gotcha.

Started that game like bums, letting the Houston freaking texans go up by 24. If obrian was not a moron he doesnt give you all the extra momentum to get back on that game. Good job climbing back. Once the cows saw you leading at halftime after being up 24 the game was over. You guys act like it was the greatest thing coming back to win by 20. Maybe it was. But the way you started that game should worry at least a few of you. The Titans will not give you anything.
Let's look at this as if TEN played that game instead of the Chiefs.

If TEN got down 24-0 in the first quarter, the game would've been over right there. Because TEN can't score on more than 4 of their possessions, and would've maxed out at about 27-28 points.

HOU scored 31. You lose.

And we know this is basically a fact because that's pretty much exactly what happened to TEN a few weeks ago, right? HOU got up on your Titans early, and TEN couldn't score fast enough to get a win. Down 14-0 opening the 2nd half, and your Titans take 9:30 minutes to score their first TD. Probably got helped by some penalties too, right? HOU comes back and scores antoher TD, so up by two scores again. And TEN lumbers along for however many minutes and finally get another score late in the 4th quarter now. HOU kicks a FG and it's over . . . something like that, right?

And HOU only scores on about 50% of their possessions. What do you think it's going to be like against a team that consistently scores on 67% of their possessions?

Next . . .

Chiefs started CAM ERVING that game so I'm sure undefeated Eric Fisher (9-0) will not play worse.
