They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

MVS gets all the shit for the Eagle game, but the Kelce fumble and Pat INT in the endzone were just as big of a factor.

But yeah it literally can't get worse than MVS and Mecole can do everything MVS can do and a lot that he can't do so I don't get why he wouldn't get those snaps in the playoffs.
Agreed... Mecole was making catches yesterday that we haven't seen consistently from a Chiefs WR all season.

He still has his issues... he had some drops as well... but at this point, he's probably the best the Chiefs can put out there with Rice and James.

Mahomes was 29th in the league in this metric last season at 4.2 air yards per attempt. Stop acting like the offense isn't similar to last years

Also not sure how anyone can watch this and see that this isn't on the receivers. So many deep shots being dropped. So many wide open players flat out dropping the football.

This season he's had what FEELS like a bad interception QUITE OFTEN. And in years past, it was like an anomaly that would happen. You'd be like "WTF".

Now you're like "oh look he did it again".

That's just the EYE TEST. Not looking at stats, but just watching every single game, Pat himself has played WELL WELL WELL below all of his previous years.

I do think the tackle protection has been bad, and the WR's have dropped balls, but again, there's been a LOT of film broken down by Kurt Warner, who's pretty good, and he showed where Pat has left clean pockets, thrown bad reads, and bad interceptions.

It's NOT JUST everyone else. Pat has stunk the joint up a lot this year too.

Wut? 4.2 and 3.5 are markedly different. 4.2 puts him right in the range of typical QB play.

Allen 4.3
Hurts 4.5
Jackson 4.7
Prescott 4.7
Purdy 4.3

In cincy we saw Mvs take a toned down version of toneys role. I don't know why we thought he had earned his way to a higher snap share. He was the one doing all the gadgety motions and his drop came on the same kind of crossing route toney botched a few times.

Mvs is our clearout guy the rest of the way. I will root for him and all he needs is to string together a few good games to clear his name before we ultimately cut him in the offseason. But I don't get why we don't at least put mecole in the toney role. He can't do nearly the same things but he's way better suited and will probably make less mistakes than either of those guys.

Watching that video hurts. We have talked all year about the drops, but actually watching them is so much worse.

Perine looked fine in the role as well.

Pass catching 3rd down RB in this system is a money role - it doesn't take a money player.

That's definitely a Nagy influence.

You just have a thing for Nagy and you won't see this objectively. And I don't understand why you cant see that he's part of the problem, or why you think he's good?
Andy and Veach preached to us all off-season about Toney being WR1 and Skyy making a jump. Both of those guys were effectively benched bc of how bad they've played.

Mahomes literally hates MVS. The reports about Mahomes not even looking at MVS running wide open in the Raiders game prove that. He doesn't trust him at all. Can you blame him? He comes back in the Bengals game, says during the week that he needs to throw it to the guy and once again 2 wide open play calls of the coaches scheming him open fails again because he can't catch the ball.

Add to this Justyn Ross being a moron and getting suspended half the season, Richie James getting hurt and missing most of the season and Mecole barely being back before getting hurt and missing most of the games.

They've had no choice but to put their faith in a rookie, a WR who we all knew had drop problems in GB, a WR from TB's practice squad that never got on the field, a WR that is always hurt/now can't catch and a WR that was drafted in the 2nd rd and just isn't an NFL player at all.

When talent is this bad you have no choice but to cut down the playbook and simplify things. This is common all over the league.

2 of those directly led to missing out on plays that would have won the game.

Our best WR has an ADOT of 5.1. Only 7 WRs across the entire LEAGUE are lower.

Ray Ray McCloud
Jake Bobo
Wandale Robinson
Kadarius Toney
Parris Campbell
Ihmir Smith Marsette
Isiah McKenzie

Only Wandale Robinson has more than 40 targets in that list of scrubbery. 76 to be exact. That is an egregious misuse of your best WR.

YEEESSSSS!!!!! THATS A HUGE PART OF THE ****ING PROBLEM!!!!!! It took them until week ****ing 17 to figure out that maybe simplifying things to help your struggling WR room and narrow the rotation a bit would be a good idea. Good coaching can somewhat mitigate lack of talent. Bad coaching exacerbates it. We saw the former last year. We're seeing the latter this year.

There have been large swaths of the season where the entire WR room was on different pages than Mahomes. Even Rice and Watson have struggled at times to be in the right position. SO ****ING HELP THEM. If it's a struggle for the entire unit to be in the right position to do their jobs, do your ****ing job and SIMPLIFY the shit to help them.
