Good luck to opposing defenses when Pacheco returns. 15 touches for Pacheco, 12 for Hunt and 2-3 from Steele a game. All of those touches from a fresh and hungry back. Good luck!
Once Pacheco is back, any touches from Steele need to be nothing more than change of pace runs from the up-back position.

Just make him the damn fullback he was born to be.

He's not a halfback.

Yea if you could give Pacheco Hunts vision he'd probably run for 1500 yards.

Absolutely.

Hunt doesn’t have tremendous speed, he’s got some power but his vision is elite.

Our running game wasn’t this smooth under Pacheco

KC has run the ball on 47% of its plays, which ranks 13th in the NFL. Reid’s rank during his previous six seasons with Mahomes looked like this: 23rd, 23rd, 28th, 27th, 25th and 26th.
Direckshun got his power running team

Quote:
Taking advantage of that interior strength also has pushed KC’s coaches in a different direction stylistically. For instance, Sports Info Solutions’ data says the Chiefs have called inside zone — a scheme that leans most heavily on the middle three — for 39 plays already this year, compared to 59 for the entire 2023 regular season. There’s been a similar uptick in “power,” a format that utilizes a pulling guard to get downhill in the run game. The Chiefs have gone to that 26 times this season compared to 40 all of last season, showing the team’s increasing trust in its big guys up front.

I agree, I see Hunt able to fulfill the RB passing routes that we used McKinnon for though.

Can't wait to get Pacheco back, so that Hunt can do all the short yardage stuff and Pacheco gets everything else. Hunt is perfect at getting the 3rd and 1 and goal line stuff, but he's had 2.8, 3.5, and 3.8 ypc the last 3 games. Take out his first game and he's at 3.4 ypc and that's not good enough when we're running it 20+ times a game. He and Pacheco will be the perfect 1-2 punch. So excited for it.

I don’t care what his YPC is. He’s highly effective when he has the ball and has been extremely dependable.

Need to find a way to move some of the wear & tear away from Kareem. More carries for the other RB’s or maybe some passing game stuff with Perine.

Guy came from the couch to 20 carries a game work horse. He is getting banged up and it isn't sustainable. Hopefully Pacheco comes back soon and we can load manage him better.

It'll be a different offense in December when Pacheco and Brown are both back in the same huddle.

With Hunt staying healthy... him and Pacheco would be a dual threat. That wheel route could be crushed by Kareem. Brown and Worthy can get deep. Kelce and Dhop can feast in the 10-15 yard routes. JuJu may contribute too. Hardman do his thing with the gimmick stuff Reid comes up with.

We will be at 100% by playoff time.
