This is a question that you we will never know the true answer to, because whatever answer Veach gives to the question can't be relied upon for accuracy. Not that Veach would lie, but he is pretty good at saying a lot of words without actually saying anything.

I do think Veach, and his entire scouting department need to, at the very least, evaluate how they identify WR targets.

They should revisit thier notes and work ups on McLaurin, Metcalf, Pickens, Puka, Skyy Moore etc etc and see what they missed. Then look at what they got right about Rice.

Because Skyy Moore is not an NFL receiver. What did they even see in Powell? What did Toney do that made them EVER believe he could be WR1?

If Veach really is a new age type GM, meaning he is an anti-Pioli, anti-Dorsey, and anti-Peterson and can admit mistakes, there is no reason why the situation won't be greatly improved next year.

Let's just hope Mahomes can magic the shit out of this and drag us to a SB.
Who knows, but twats on CP insisted that Veach should never listen to Pat again. So......

Howie Roseman, the so called "best" GM in the league, drafted Reagor (1st round) and Arcega-Whiteside (2nd round) in back to back drafts. Two major busts.
Even DeVonta Smith ain't nothing to write home about.

WRs are sooooo tough to predict. Guys who look like they have everything bust in the pros, then guys like Puca sneak out of nowhere and dominate.

Mahomes and an elite defense is a ****ing cheat code. What a bunch of ****ing pussies some of you are.

I must have missed where the season is over and we lost in the first round of the playoffs? You guys act like it already happened, or worse, like we are 3-10.

Yes, we're all well aware that you, OKchiefs, TEX, etc. have already thrown in the towel on this season while taking your victory laps in celebration.

I'm also sure that you've never been wrong about anything. Ever.

You spent months attacking anyone who would dare question the Chiefs WR situation and now you want to hide like a Reerunned bitch from your laughable past statements.

Nope, not happening.

Mostly fair, although I was a big fan of Creed Humphrey the year before he was drafted prior to him returning for another season at OU and was ecstatic when we took him.

You keep saying I'm hiding.

What in the entire **** are you talking about?

I'm right ****ing here pussy. Who's ****ing hiding?

Again, my point has ALWAYS been that they can win with this group. That is not as much of a defense of the group (outside of Rice), as a defense of the rest of the team and coaching staff.

It is entirely possible that I was wrong, it surely looks like it at the moment, but the season is NOT ****ing over and here you losers are already celebrating like the bigggest bunch of miserable ****ing cock suckers that you are because you'd rather get to say "I told you so" than be proven wrong for the second straight year.

Regardless, this says more about all of YOU than any of us that have been on the other side of this argument.

This isn't ****ing Madden moron.
Did I say that? This guy keeps stating KC will just add a single veteran WR and call it good. That ain’t happening. As I’ve already stated, I’m not a fan of Veach but I still have complete faith that he’s going to go all out to fix the WR position, and doing so likely means 2-3 new WRs. A veteran WR and a high draft pick is almost a guarantee.

Injuries happen and this is an all time bad WR group. 1 guy isn’t enough, even if they’re comparable to Rice. A single injury to either one of them brings us back to the same spot we’re at this year.
