2.89 in Council Bluffs and falling. I must say, it is kinda nice to see a 2.something rather than a 3.something, but it's still too damn high. From what I understand, oil and gas are taking a tumble because of the impending economic Apocalypse we are apparently about to experience. Oh, the irony...

It was about 10 years ago when I last saw gas for under $1.00 a gallon. I was in Jefferson City, and even at the time it was unusual enough that I took a photo of the sign. I think I still have it somewhere.

I was working at a convenience store 11-12 years ago. I remember the first time gas ever went up over a dollar per gallon. People were freaking out...lol.

I'm still waiting on to see gas below $3 here in Hiawatha KS, was 3.23 yesterday. Yet I can drive to St. Joe MO about 40 miles and see it below $3 dollars. I know KS has a little higher taxes than MO, just by a few cents. How can this gouging be justified?

My summer prediction of steadily falling gas prices leading up to the election has come to fruition. We'll see if they shoot back up in November.
2.94 on the way to work today, in OP. |

i fear that if it gets too low, people will revert to old habits thus renewing demand. i say f em. ill keep carpooling and driving less and ill just take my savings and put it towards other stuff...like the CC bills racked up paying for high gas... |
