They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

Mmm, the offense struggled throughout last season in stints. The WRs never really got going.

we've scored just 4 TDs in two games, but more problematic, they're averaging about 35% scoring TDs/drive. Well below their average over Mahomes' time as a starter. Today, the offense managed to score just 3 times out of 11 drives. Last week it was just 4 times out of 11 drives.

That's not going to get it done in today's NFL.

I think our Oline more specifically our tackles are a bigger problem than the WR's. They killed a half a dozen drives.

Would be nice to grab a real WR though, a true vet. We need one as Travis Kelce ages. Especially if we want him to not get career ended.

They won a SB with those receivers.

Is the goal to have the best offense or to win a SB?

We let up inside the 5 at the end of the game when we could’ve gotten another TD. And Taylor was by FAR the more limiting factor for our offense today than anything the receivers did in that phase of the game.

You expecting him to age a whole lot between now and February?

Because this is the process of drafting and developing your WR corps.

They'll get better every week, and by late in the year, you won't be bitching anymore.

i would say they won a SB last year in spite of those WRs. But potato, potahtoe, at this point.

The goal is to be as efficient an offense as possible. They aren't that, when they are averaging less than 33% on 3rd down conversions, and around that 33% on scoring at all.

Not saying they can't get better, in fact, I've been saying they have to, all along.

But the reality is that this week they were basically the same as last week, they just didn't drop the ball 8 times.

Basically the same, except they didn't drop 8 balls.

We need someone like Juju, who can move the chains on 3rd down after the previous two plays got botched

They looked like the guys we thought they were and who we expected them to be.

I really think they need to get over the whole "WR by committee" thing though.

Find your best 4 guys and make sure they're getting their snaps. It felt like, in the first half, the constant changing of player packages really hurt the group in finding a rhythm. I don't think this is a good idea moving forward.

Identify your best guys and play them.

With that said, it seemed like Ross was starting eat James' snaps.

JFC.

I've said since LAST SEASON that they'll get better. i said it before last season started. "they'll have some up-and-down games," "they'll look a little clunky here and there," ""but they'll get better. Probably around Week 10 or so . . ." multiply by about 20.

AGAIN, for the 49th time;

i think they'll have some good and some bad games to start. it probably will take until Week 10 or so before they settle in.

Clear enough?

Disagree. As long as the D is playing lights out they should continue to get the chart as many snaps as possible. It will pay dividends later in the year.

Do you maybe think penalties and being thrust into 3rd and long multiple times had anything to do with it?

We aren't beating a hot team in the playoffs unless we add a veteran WR.

Sorry, that's the reality.

Yes! The constant rotation gets everybody out of rhythm including Mahomes. He has to keep adjusting to different player skills and speeds.

I think they can just give Rice, Skyy, and Toney the vast majority of snaps and then use the other WRs to rest them.
