How many roster spots are up for grabs on the 53 right now? I haven’t done the math myself but it’s not many at all — as few there’s been in a long long time as of March.
With or without Sneed trade capital, I just foresee Veach going up for his 2-3 guys in this draft and not making a ton of picks. |

You are assuming they will be able to trade up. Teams won’t want to help KC without an overpay. See the FAU selection last year. Veach was shut out trying to move up.

Who do we think will introduce Sneed for his Hall of Fame speech after his 15 year career with the Chiefs?
1. McDuffie 2. Spagnuolo 3. Andy 4. His draft sibling Karlaftis 5. His position coach Dave Merritt 6. Clark Hunt 7. Gracie Hunt 8. Some other football person (high school, college, or pro) 9. Some non-football person 10. His favorite Chiefsplanet poster |

Tbh I'd take a 3 this year if the 2025 pick is a higher round.
50-50 splinter mcpuss gets injured again in Indy and that 2nd or whatever turns into a real valuable choice. |

This year, if you’re a GM and you aren’t considering offers that help you add top 100 picks where it makes sense, that’s foolish. |

How hard is it to sign Sneed to a 5/110? Low cap hit year 1 of 8.2 mil

I have no interest in a 5 year deal on a 27 year corner with a past knee issue. I love Sneed, but 3 years with a inflated 4th for $88, with a $40m guaranteed would be the absolute best and that's probably more than Veach wants to offer.

They aren’t doing a deal that’s gonna overlap with McDuffie’s next deal.

The argument is he’s playing in a limited role, and he is (40% of snaps), and Sneeds not worth trading for that even though Chenal is one of the best case scenarios.

I agree, but it's not that black and white. You also have $19 million of cap space and a draft pick(s).
