I would never use any 'steak' for jerky. Round steak is just a pre-sliced rump or round roast. You're paying extra for the same thing as buying it as a roast and slicing it yourself. Flank steak is a whole different part of the cow, it comes from the abdomen. I'm sure it's just as tasty made into jerky but a waste of expensive meat to me.

fired up the smoker for a leg of lamb, chicken drumsticks, corn on the cob and smoked baked potato.
seasoned the lamb with the normal garlic, salt, and rosemary. chicken drumsticks are rubbed with johnny's from mission ks will lather the potatoes with garlic olive oil and salt. been on for a few hours, just put the chicken on. several hours to go. |

Bought a 7lb Chuck Eye roast (2.77lb) to smoke (like a brisket) and will take pics of it. I am doing a smoker, crock pot, shred, and return to the smoker method.
