They actually might not. He simply erases his side of the field and does not get enough footballs thrown in his direction. He should be getting even more accolades than Bland because of this.

The Raiders used to have a CB who did that. Could even handle being 1on1 Tony G back in the day.

Best player on the field tonight from the start. I swear to God he just might be the best cover corner I've ever seen.

People don't really appreciate just how good this guy is, because he doesn't get interceptions. This guy is pure greatness.

When we drafted him, he kinda looked like a baby face kid coming out and now he looks like a ****ing man.

Think Staylor said it but imagine if Veach grabs a top WR ahead of the Bills in the coming draft. Holy s*** that will be funny.

If he could snag some picks that is a legendary caliber player.

We absolutely ERASED Samuel Aiyuk and Kittle. Mc Caffery was always going to get his.

This play was insane. Coverage so sticky.

Deebo isn’t the best route runner but they love getting him open in space on the run with these types of routes so he can bully smaller CBs. McDuffie and the guys just never gave him the chance.

Hell, even Aiyuk, who is a good route runner, was basically blanketed by McDuffie and Sneed. Romo kept talking about how the 9ers needed to iso Aiyuk and Deebo on our third corner and/or safeties to get open lol

McDuffie is proof of how overrated INT’s are when evaluating CB’s.

DaRon Bland vs McDuffie… enough said.

Dude, you know those graphic dots that track/show the play? Our DBs, especially McD, stay closer to and on top of the opponent WR dots than any team I've ever seen.

Just straight ELITE man coverage players.

I don't know if this was discussed anywhere, in any of these threads, but after watching the game again, I noticed what may be the most important HIGH FOOTBALL IQ play of the game.

On the most pivotal defensive play of the game, and season, we had to stop the Niners on 3rd down, or the season was over. The Gang Bangers could have run out the clock and kicked the winning FG if they picked up the 1st down, like we did against the Eagles.

Spags blitzed McDuffie, and he knocked down the pass.

The HIGH FOOTBALL IQ moment of the season was how McDuffie pulled his arms and hands down after deflecting the pass, and he somehow managed to avoid hitting Purdy in the head/helmet.

If you watch the play at half speed, you can see that pulling his hands/arms down was a consciousness, purposeful decision. Honestly, as fast as he was running, and as aggressively as he swatted at the ball, it's a miracle he didn't make contact with Purdy's helmet, or even his head and shoulders area.

Thank goodness Tyreek was a greedy spotlight seeker, who was butt hurt that Kelce got so many targets.
