He needs to find a good D coordinator. New coach thrown in the fire, may have made a mistake in setting up his staff.

Having shown signs of life as a head coach, recruiting should improve. Plus a little distance from the post-Ferguson turmoil should help. They REALLY needed this late season success.

Now they need to get the defense fixed.

I'll give him that he wasn't put in the best of situations. Also glad he had the sand to change his staff during the season. Wish Reid would do that.

They won six in a row, most by a stupid margin (after losing 5 in a row...never been done before in the SEC). They did all they could against the schedule they had.

Nah. Just a little pessimistic because...Mizzou.

I started school the last year of Powers. Compared to the years I was there, it's all good.

It tinted my rose colored glasses.

You're full of shit, too. Pointing out obvious issues isn't whining. It's pointing out the glaringly obvious.

Powers was coach when I started at Mizzou too. Both the football and basketball teams were really good when I was there. It's been hard watching both go through the tremendous lows. I went to the Auburn game this year and saw them get totally destroyed. Props to the coaches for motivating the team not to quit. They've had a really good season. And Mizzou Basketball with a big win yesterday too.

I'd like to see Mizzou-Kansas State in the Liberty Bowl. That would be a fun match up.

That's the matchup I want too. I guess we should be rooting for Bama today to get a chance at it.

I would be shocked if Walters is not the next DC. It would a basically title-only situation, as I think Odom is going to be the coordinator from now on, building the defense and calling the plays. He almost lost his job and had things blow up when he trusted another guy to be the coordinator; don't think he will do that again.

And I'm fine with that. Walters is a good recruiter with a good eye for talent. What I'd like to see in addition to that is bringing in a young, dynamic recruiter to the staff. Maybe that's officially promoting AJ Ofodile to an assistant spot and moving Cornell Ford back to defense. Don't know.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Andy Hill retires after this year. He's been in Columbia a LONG time (20 years now).

I still remember Tiger Fan complaining about the Grinch hire. He’d be a great one to have back on D (not that he’d consider it).
