****Our Wide Receivers Suck- Official Thread****

They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

When people are open and Mahomes throws it to them using anticipation, they inexplicably do the wrong thing when the ball is in the air. So Mahomes starts locking onto the players he can trust to do the right thing when the ball in the air or he throws the ball to those WRs where they are because he has no idea what the hell they're about to do.

The deep shot he took where MVS just absolutely misplayed the ball, Kelce was open. There's no way to think it's not natural for Mahomes to think "yeah I ****ed up not throwing to Kelce and trying to trust MVS".

Yes Mahomes hasn't played up to his standards so far. But give literally any other QB these weapons and WR rotations would have taken 40 sacks so far and have more turnovers than touchdowns.

That was excellent! Little honest dig at Nagy vs EB there. I believe that has to play at least a part given just how different it is this year. Lots to like in those three minutes. Thanks for posting.

While I agree I suspect Andy will trot Skyy out there for ~40 plays.

It's Pat's job to throw the ball to the open read and he simply isn't doing it with regularity.

He needs to stop worrying about a receiver ****ing up and just start putting the ball where it needs to go. Way too many missed opportunities this year because he's way overthinking shit. If they **** up, they **** up. At least it won't be him doing it.

It looks like he's waiting to see if Travis opens up before he decides to go elsewhere much of the time. It's not a good way for him to be playing. All it's doing is compounding the already obvious issue of bad receiver play, which might be more tolerable if he wasn't trying to compensate for it.

That's what I have to say on Pat.

As for the WR issue... it isn't going to fix itself at this point IMO. They either need to add a vet off the street and dump someone or live with it. Judging that it's December, I don't have any high hopes they add a vet. I'd hope they at least give James a bunch of Moore's snaps and let Toney run some of MVS' deep stuff and see WTF happens.

Of course he’s hesitant. It’s not about running the right routes every now and then. It’s the consistency that’s missing.
What were the 2 blown routes? MVS and ? Pat needs to do Pat's job... period. The last two picks that cost us games had nothing to do with routes. They were abysmal throws and decisions and that's not Pat. Again, I have no doubt he will get it back.

Still think they should at least bring in Watkins for a workout and see how much he's got left in the tank. We're well past the point of a Landry or Golladay being able to step in and contribute this year, unfortunately.

**** are you hard headed... Elevate? He just needs to do his job as someone making $55 million a year. He needs to hit guys when they are open and if they drop it, yes, it's on them. They both need to do better, period. Again, the WR's had nothing to do with the last 2 picks that Pat threw. Those mistakes were major reasons we lost those 2 games, period. We aren't saying everything will be fine, but we still have confidence we will be better come playoff time. If we aren't, flame away, I just don't get the pessimist, always negative view of some fans.

Me as well. The attention to detail is really missing. Terrible scheme at times in relation to down and distance.

In a world of political correctness it's tough for people to let others fail and cause larger problems because, in the end, you're programmed to blame yourself instead of the what was really wrong. So I think he'll need to continue to worry about how bad his WRs are and when it's "safe enough" to throw it in their general direction.

As Skyy and MVS have learned from PMII and Andy, "they" (PMII and Andy) need to do better, not themselves. In fact, MVS has God on his side. Or some shit like that...

Yep, nothing. No point in rehashing the same exact things you've been told over and over again just so you can say "HiS wR aRENt gud!" in 20 different ways. You've been shown multiple videos/clips of what Mahomes is doing wrong, but you just keep on with the same thing. Like you're the only real Mahomes fan and have some weird thing your trying to prove. I'm not even sure why people continue to engage with you because you keep saying the same thing in different ways.

It's a collective problem. People point to the drops as the sole issue but that's only part of the story. 2 sacks in back breaking situations in the red zone the first 2 drives.

Creed holding call. Mahomes missing a wide open TD to Rice.

They haven't struggled moving the ball down the field at all. That parts been easy. They have just been an unmitigated disaster in the red zone.
