They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

Yeah. Purdys air yards per completion is 7 yards. Mahomes is 4.3.

Absolutely disgusting that this is where we are now. Below Brock Purdy. FML.

Pretty eye-opening, isn't it?

Small sample sizes and what not - obviously it's not wholly representative. It's not dispositive of anything but it does mean something.

Kid's gotta be better.

I know Pat is beyond reproach and many will disagree, but IMO him having his contract redone to give him more money over the next 4 years just before him likely having the worst statistical season of his career is bad optics. Certainly he's not the person responsible for scouting and acquiring talent, but he's not really on a team friendly deal any longer unless I'm not understanding his contract correctly. Either way, the extra $10+ million a year he's getting each year could have gone a long ways towards giving him more talent on offense to work with. Sure his contract number drops a lot in 2028, but no way in hell he actually plays on that cap number without the contract being adjusted again (likely to $70-75 million a year by then).

Feel like Devito is in the same school as Howell where they’ve been way better than you’d expect of them. But it just doesn’t seem sustainable. Howell is juicing up numbers because his pass volume is just absurd. Devito taking sacks from bad defenses. Cj stroud is one to keep an eye on because he’s had one of the biggest luck ratings out there but at least we can see him as a long term qb.

I just can’t see the first 2 guys ever doing it with much consistency. These guys feel like Kirk cousins lite.

Let’s not focus on these offenses and continue to look at Jacksonville. That offense they ran last night was beautiful. Lots of creative designs and misdirections, get rid of the ball lightning quick while being aggressive. Maybe pederson the student can become the teacher in this case

Optics?

Maybe it’s just me again, but who cares about “optics”? Probably the very last thing I’m concerned about. Actually; optics is about 5 levels of shit below the very last thing I’m concerned about

Watch the clips of both MVS and JWat ****ing up their route adjustments and not tracking the ball worth shit, or maybe all those balls that literally went through their respective hands all season and tell me that his PR posted there is on him or his receivers.

The MVS "drop" against the Eagles was in mind, an overthrow as well. Wide open, easy touchdown. Mahomes put just a little too much on it and forced MVS into having to make great catch.
