If you keep Mahomes safe with plans to trade Smith then you have the offseason to make a deal and draft another qB.

I still want to see him play next Sunday.

The difference is that this is a meaningless game.

I'd like to see Mahomes play, but I can see the logic of not taking a chance in a game that means nothing.

No way it's Bray. It's either Smith or Mahomes. I'd lean towards it being Mahomes if nothing else than to give him a game under his belt in case Smith gets knocked out by an injury at some point in the playoffs.
