I was a different kid musically than those in my area growing up in Springfield Missouri. At 8 years old I was listening to Alice Cooper and Led Zepplin when most were listening to Bobby Goldsboro or the Carpenters.

We never get a choice.
Quit picking songs to die to you sick ****s. I've always been a fan of Van Morrison's "Into the Mystic." Yes, it's by far my favorite song... |

They used to play this on the oldies radio in L.A. all the time and I thought it was one of the most pervy things I had ever heard.

You just can't go wrong on some old Motown:
The Four Tops classic "Only the Lonely" with Levi Stubbs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQPqy2HlIqw The Temptations "Don't Look Back", Paul Williams, Sr. on the lead https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVi0A_E9MyQ |

I was always in to the more psychedelic stuff.
As 16 year old kids me and by buddy would down a 6er and drive around to Crimson And Clover. It was our "we're warming up to the weird of the evening" kind of song. |

It's kind of hard to **** to a lot of that psychedelic stuff. Motown just has a steady, easy to keep in rhythm, beat.
