RIP Gonzo

Passed away on Thursday. Apparently complications with colitis. Please keep his son, Hunter, in your thoughts.

You can get sepsis from it. Which is an infection of the blood. Sepsis is dangerous shit.

One of my friends died of something similar. Developed some sort of nasty infection. She did everything right - went to the doctor immediately, who then admitted her to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She was getting the best care from the best doctors at the best hospital in the area, and in the end none of it counted for shit. Went from perfectly fine to stone dead in less than two weeks. She was in her early 40s.

If he was in his late 90's, this would be perfectly fine.
Mid-40s?!? WTF!!!
My thoughts go out to Lumpy and Hunter. He was nice to me at times when I wasn't being nice.

Good Lord.

This is tragic news.

Mr. Gonzo will be sorely missed.

To be honest, these sort of thread topics have grown lamentable in more ways than one.

Exercise and eat more vegetables, Planeteers. There is a limit to the amount of depression I can handle.

Meanwhile, may the Great Spirit welcome Mr. Gonzo with open arms. Your work is done.
