Patrick Mahomes, you’re up.

2023 version:

2022 version:

EDIT: Timeline below.
1. Darlington & Schefter report Brady is retiring.
2. TB12, Tom’s brand/company, tweet (then later delete) about his retirement.
3. Toms teammates tweet about his retirement.
4. Tom’s agent, dad, Arians, and Licht all say Tom hasn’t decided yet.
5. Ian Rappaport says many sources confirm Tom plans to retire but the pushback is due to timing.
6. Tom announces retirement again in 2023.

Surprised his arm didn't fall off. That's a lot of effort to win the worst division in the league at under .500, just to have a noodle arm in January.

I wonder if he's going to pull another Favre, like he did this year?
I'll believe it when he isn't there for opening kickoff, in September.

Contrary to what the dedicated hate toward Brady says, he could definitely still play at a pretty high level. Still of course had the mind and the will, but his accuracy was still there and you could see in the playoff game against Dallas that he could still do it. The Bucs are a declining team, their offense was boring and predictable, etc. If you saw much of them this year you saw it.

I think he didn't want to be one of those guys who hung on until they actually looked washed up like so many have, and that playing at a very good level rather than the elite level he played at for so long isn't good enough for a guy like him. That I understand completely.

I admit I am really kind of surprised considering he could go play for the 49er's next season and have a chance at another ring

Surprised he announced today instead of the middle of next week. I'd be pissed if all of our SB hype was interrupted by Brady ball washing all week.

Why does this sound familiar? Oh yeah, he did the same thing at the end of last year.

I'll believe it when the season starts next year and he's not on a roster.

He's an attention whore.
