****Our Wide Receivers Suck- Official Thread****

They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

That may have been the plan this past draft, but Veach stated that no one would trade up with us. The price for success...

Gonna be harder and harder to do as some of the young draft hits come up for contracts in the coming years.

Figure that group of guys (Gay, Sneed, Danna, Smith, Humphrey, Bolton) are probably gonna see at least 50% turnover, no? Maybe right at 50%?

We're gonna have to keep layering depth and if we couldn't effectuate a trade-up the season after we had as much draft capital as we're going to have for the foreseeable future, I'm just not sure when it'll get done.

They just need the guys they've already spent resources on to develop and the QB to "trust" them

In 3 weeks, everyone will be super excited about this current WR group.

Be patient.

This.

I mean, I thought this was the whole plan. Use your draft capital and resources to develop skill position players on the cheap side and hope that you hit on 1 or 2 of them. That way you can continue to surround your World Class QB with an OL and a defense.

This is the plan, we just have to hope it pans out. And if it doesn't, well **** it we tried.

Play the game, Pat - don't coach it.

If they're open, throw it. (I mean actually open, not slow midget that can't jump and is running towards the sideline open like you do)

Let Andy chew their ass if they **** it up.

If anything it will be a trade up for an Elite Left Tackle.

It was one bad game. The guys were open. The ball was there. They just had hands of stone for some reason. I’m not worried. Yet.

Supposedly their LBs are the weak link on that defense. Travis will probably save the day vs. NYJ

That's the thing. We probably have the same needs as we had last offseason. Plus side is we're probably not spending draft capital on another DE soon, and if Rice and/or Toney looks promising this year we probably can go up for a LT and swing later for another WR.

I think we can patch up a fairly decent DT rotation via FA and late draft picks once Jones walks. There's a feew good options next year.

Dolphins probably don’t have the cap room to extend Christian Wilkins, he could be a slightly cheaper option compared to Jones.

I think Zach Sieler is just criminally underrated and they friggen stole him for 3/$30 million. Former 7th rounder from pissnuckle university or something - just flat out turned himself into a real good NFL player.

More of a yeoman pass rusher but super high motor and great length/strength. Better get-off than he gets credit for as well.
