I also think a little of it is because they don’t teach kids how to write in cursive in school anymore. If you’ve been seriously collecting for a long time, you can definitely see where this was phased out.

Added another Mahomes rookie to my collection. Many seasoned collectors don’t even know these exist. I had been waiting on one to show up on eBay for a few years. It’s from an 18 card Texas Tech multi-sport set released by Panini in 2017 that was only sold in Lubbock at the stadiums & bookstore and online.
