Must Watch Series

All this talk about series, how network TV Sucks, and how hard it is to find quality shows, and some excellent shows that fly under the radar, I need a comprehensive review of all the series I need to see.

For good entertainment, I would be willing to buy DVD sets. But I've recently picked up HBOGO by kiping it from my parents, and recently got Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Here is a listing of shows that I currently own or have seen all the episodes of. If it isn't on the list, just assume I haven't seen it.

Spoiler!

Here is a listing of shows on my list to watch (mostly due to this thread)

I work a ****ton, so it is hard for me catch a series while it is on to get it on the DVR, but I recognize the entertainment value and am willing to go after the Must See shows. Accordingly, I'm not necessarily looking for anything that is still running. I'm up for watching stuff that has run its course.

So what say you, Planet? Which shows should I see?

UPDATED for the shows I've seen recently.

Full disclosure: Kumail Nanjiani, in my opinion, is a gigantic douche.

That being said: he wasn't the problem with that episode.

Spoiler!

I guess I'll give the next episodes a try until I cancel CBS All Access once Discovery concludes for the year but I thought the TZ revival pilot missed the mark. 4/10.

Bless This Mess is better than it should be.
A lot of it is retread and stereotypical network sitcom, but it's got a good cast and good writers.
It's comfort food, but it's well-made comfort food.

NY yuppie couple inherits a Nebraska farm and decides to go native.
Hijinks ensue as they integrate with the locals and try to make a go of rural life.
Locals have a lot of quirks and foibles.
Blah, blah, blah.

So it's a lot of Green Acres, and a touch of Newhart.

But the writing is snappy and the cast is seasoned.

Particularly good is Ed Begley Jr [the village outcast/hermit], David Koechner [the village blowhard/Alpha husband], and Pam Grier [the reserved sheriff].

So I finally watched the last season of Americans. Goddamn that show was good. Lots of those notes hit really hard. It’s hard for me to pick anything bad about it. I will miss it. And Keri Russell.
