No problem.

I wonder if a guy is left handed vs right handed would that make a difference in where they play best? Whole new thing for PFF to explore. LOL

He's obviously quicker and more agile than OBJ. He also has obviously been working out already. I'm sure he has someone (like Duke Manyweather) training him to work on the left side. Worst case scenario is he stays on the right and we have to put someone who needs a lot of help on the left.

Most of the ESPN crew thought KC wouldn't get to the AFCCG either. Hell, you go back and check out most of their takes about KC over the last 5-6 years, and I bet most of them are wrong. I know that back in 2019, most of them didn't think the Chiefs had a chance to even get to the SB just prior to the beginning of the playoffs. TEN was supposed to destroy us. And then SF was going to dominate KC in the SB.

Not saying their all idiots, because I don't think that's true. But they are paid to increase the interest in their takes, and dramatic opinions will do that.

Really OBJ was a gamble with upside too, but considering we had nobody healthy returning it made sense. We also had to give up picks. This keeps our draft intact and gives us flexible options.

I hope we don't plan on Niang playing RT without a plan b, that is my biggest concern with this move.

Exactly why I think the risk angle is completely overblown.

Breer talked about how it just really opens up the draft for them. If one of the LT's drop, they can take him and play Taylor at RT. If one of the RT guys are there they like, they can play him on the left.

Pretty much. They aren’t locked into having to trade up for one of the top guys. Plus if you draft a rookie LT, you don’t have to worry about giving Taylor help on the right side.

And they just weren't in a good spot having both tackle spots open. If you go into the draft with that....good luck.

Now they atleast have options. If there's a pass rusher they love there, take him. You've got Niang and Taylor.

If the Chiefs go in either of those directions, this OL is going to be scary good.

It should be really good. I think they need another weapon or two, but I figure that gets sorted out here pretty soon.

Top WR's get traded quite a bit. Hill, Adams, Diggs, Brown, Hopkins, etc...

That's the thing. Niang is pretty highly regarded by the staff from what we're hearing. I think they feel pretty confident that if he can stay healthy he can be the guy on the right side.
