My favorite episode from 7 is probably Pegasus, but holy balls did Picard choose poorly by not keeping that interphasing cloaking device. Sure could have come in handy against the Borg and the Dominion. Sort of like how Picard didn't send Hugh back to the Borg ship with the hidden destructive device. Sure, Hugh lived, but so did the Borg. It can be argued that Picard was personally responsible for every single death/assimilation at the hands of the Borg from that point forward. He probably should have been court-martialed. Too bad Sisko wasn't captain of the Enterprise. None of that shit would have ever happened. |

That's the single best scene in Star Trek history.
Tell me I'm wrong. |

Garak and Quark are gems of the Star Trek universe.
They live in the corners of the world we don't want to think about, but their dark sides ended up benefiting the Federation. The Federation didn't ask for their help, but they NEEDED their help. |

Another one of my favorite DS9 episodes is House of Quark. Quark + Gowron = comedy gold. And the way he outwits the douchebag in front of the high council is awesome.

On further review, I have to say that the best Star Trek TV scene was the ending of Part 1 of Best of Both Worlds. The slow camera pan, the building music, the zoom on Riker. "Mr. Worf, fire."
TO BE CONTINUED Obviously if you're not old enough to have experienced that back in 1990, it won't have the same impact. But IMO that's the best cliffhanger in television history. There were also rumors that Stewart was leaving the show, so there was a real question as to whether or not Picard would survive. As far as the best movie scene, three words: "Here it comes." |

Boomer shooting Adama at the end of BSG season 1 was right up there, but not much else has had the impact of best of both worlds.

**** it. It's the offseason.
Do we need to recruit Rainman's mad skills and have him do a "Best of All-Time Sci-Fi series" tournament bracket? |
