I told myself I wasn't going to buy anymore 360 games, but I caved today & downloaded COD Advanced Warfare. Or, I'm in the process of downloading it. I just need something new to play.

Finished Advanced Warfare last night... probably not even 10 hours of game play, but enjoyed it quite a bit.

How does Advanced Warfare compare to prior COD games?
I loved MW2, BO, and MW3 Hated BOII and thought Ghosts was meh It looks interesting but the MP looks too much like BOII with jet packs I have heard a few people complain about lag/hit detection as well as enemies absorbing bullets like sponges |

IIRC, there was more stuff to figure out on your own in the MWs, where this is more presentation and story (not that it's completely lacking in that aspect)... it's a pretty straightforward shooter game, but even during the times when it's like 'hey, press x now...', you're at least doing some pretty unique stuff. And I think the graphics/presentation might actually get better as you go along.... not to over hype it (well, maybe a little), but holy shit some of it looks amazing. Didn't have any lag issues, killing enemies seemed to be about the same, outside of the jet pack stuff. The side to side movements are kind of annoying at times, almost to the point that it seems like they're dodging bullets (annoying when you're trying to hit a guy, too, but at least that's realistic). If you're only playing single player, renting it is probably the way to go, since it's straightforward and there isn't a lot of extra stuff to do. I really liked some of the MW multiplayer maps, and even though I haven't found one I really like so far in AW, the CPU AI seems to be improved and it's more difficult at the moment. |

Bought Wolf Among Us today for PS4. If it's anything like TWD, I'm sure it'll be great.

My wife, bless her heart she tries to be sneaky but it just doesn't work, I think is trying to surprise me at Christmas with a PS4. I 'think' so because she's been asking random off the wall questions about it; if I still like my PS3 or do i wish i would've kept my 360 etc. She's not very good at trying to do surprises.
I love my PS3....I'm assuming I'll love the PS4 too, no? |
