South Carolina has traditionally not been that good, but it has won 11 games for three straight years while playing an SEC schedule and has been at worst a top 20 program over the past 5 years. And all of this ignores Tennessee, which currently is not a top program but is traditionally one of the top 15 programs in NCAA history. |

Allow me to clarify your point: Sagarin had The SEC-E at 78.14 and Big 12 at 78.13. Calling that some sort of win is really humorous. The West and both divisions of the PAC were ~83 so in truth, both the East and Big 12 were a way back and were equivalent. |

Since you were comparing the Missouri and WVU schedules earlier, where does the SEC-E and Big 12 rank this year so we can "objectively" judge them?

I thought Mizzou "stepped up" their competition? Sagarin was identical but that included Mizzou (who was better than the East avg) and of corse WVU who was much worse than the Big 12 average. So if Mizzou had stayed, they'd have taken points away from the East ad added net points to the Big 12 (+24 over WVU which would've added +2.4 to the average score).
Mizzou left the Big 12 so they could improve the East. Who'da thunk? |

But I'm glad that you pointed out that in one of its "worst" years, the SEC East was slightly better than the Big 12 in a pretty average year. |

Says KU has only played Pitt State in time, October 1919 in Lawrence 42-0 Kansas. Sadly that team lost the last game 13-6 in Lawrence to Mizzery. Thanksgiving Day. We didn't cheat like we normally did apparently
