Does WRBC work without an elite Kelce (or no Kelce at all if he retires)?

I don’t see it…. need a go to guy.

I find myself fantasizing about Byron Pringle.

This sucks.

They aren't taking a $10 million dollar dead cap hit this year and cutting him.

You never stop giving Mahomes weapons. Defense doesn't win Championships. Mahomes does.

Yet so many here convinced themselves to believe in a philosophical shift in which, instead of highlighting our biggest strength, we robbed it of resources.

A stark reminder for those who forgot the yester years, that defense is great, but they're no replacement for a franchise Qb with weapons.

NEVER.STOP.GIVING.MAHOMES.REAL.WEAPONS.

This cannot be expressed enough.

It's kind of astounding that since Mahomes has been the starter, the only offensive skill players that have been developed in the system has been Pacheco and Rice.

Gray is a non-factor. Powell is Junior Hemingway without the expended draft capital. Ross is Tyreek's legal issues but without the om field production and expended draft capital.

Not to relitigate past arguments here, but this is the surrounding cast that actively holds back the QB regardless of skill when you consider Kelce's age / lingering injury status.

Gray is behind the best TE of all time and was a 5th round pick. He's exceeded expectations. He just doesn't get targeted like he should.

The only way to stop Mahomes is to remove most of the OL (SB Tampa) or remove all his weapons.

Veach decided to do the remove all the weapons this year.

On a big $$$ investment fit matters.

Tee Higgins doesn't match our QB or offense.

He's a good player and would help but would not max his value here.

How exactly did he "remove all the weapons"?

By not re-signing JuJu?

You're so commited to your narrative that you will use the most ridiculous framing imaginable to support it.

Veach didn't remove his weapons.

MVS was serviceable last year and has looked like shit this year.
Toney got hurt in camp.
Moore never took a step forward.
Rice has looked good when he's gotten chances.
James has been hurt.
Watson has been hit or miss this year.

There were people that said before this year started that this WR group had a low floor and a high ceiling. We're seeing the low floor right now.

As of now Kelce/Gray 2023 look to outpace Kelce/Fasano 2014 which a) surprises me b) was my first thought for a comparison given the lack of receiving talent common to both years.. granted Jamaal is/was obviously a better overall player in Reid's offense compared to Pacheco.

Let's all hope that Rice takes over by the end of the season.

If that happens we will have a shot.
